Cheers for the add. You're just what Manchester needs. A decent radio station playing what the people want to hear. Hope all goes well with setting it up. Give us a shout if we can be of any assistance - Martin.

Howdo "Rep''Eads"...

Firstly, cheers to everyone who made it down to,"Alternative Therapy" last year at The Brickhouse. Had some beltin' nights down there so let's try and carry on in'09...O.K... We'll be opening on Friday the 16th of January for the official Buzzcocks aftershow. The boys will be playing material from their first two albums, "Another Music in a Different Kitchen" and "Love Bites" at Manchester Academy...Then it's straight over to The Brickhouse for more music, but in a different kitchen! Expect to hear plenty of Buzzcocks rarely heard in clubs as well as Pete's solo stuff.
Oh yeah, with the band coming down I'd strongly recommend getting your arses down there early so as to avoid not getting in

LAUNCH NIGHT 21ST NOVEMBER!!
ALTERNATIVE THERAPY!!

ALL YOU REV HEADS WHJO MISS MIKE'S SUNDAY SHOW...BE SAD NO MORE BECAUSE...

EX-SMITHS LEGEND MIKE JOYCE ANNOUNCED AS NEW RESIDENT DJ AT
THE BRICKHOUSE (MANCHESTER) WITH HIS FRIDAY ‘ALTERN@TIVE THERAPY’ NIGHT

Since Oldham’s radio station ‘The Rev’ changed hands (and its music remit) ex-Smith Mike Joyce’s website has been deluged with emails from fans mourning the loss of his Sunday Alternative Therapy show. People had a huge emotional attachment to the show, which was one of the most listened-to programmes on the station. The show has been compared to John Peel’s show due to its eclectic mix and the affection that the regular listeners had for Mike.

Now Mike Joyce brings the spirit of that radio show back to life at his new weekly club night at The Brickhouse, launching on Friday 21st November 2008 and continuing every Friday after.

Mike Joyce: “When I started my radio show, ‘Alternative Therapy’, I found it a great opportunity to air the not so obvious. Judging by the feedback, the listening public agreed. Now every Friday, starting from Midnight November the 21st at the Brickhouse in Manchester, I’ll be playing the tracks that shaped the show. “

Adrian Gent (The Brickhouse): "We are proud to announce that Manchester music legend Mike Joyce is to become the club's Friday night DJ, with his new night ‘Alternative Therapy’. Resurrecting the mix of great music that made his radio show so massive, Mike - a musician on many of the club's biggest anthems with legendary band The Smiths - launches his night on 21st November."

EX-SMITHS LEGEND MIKE JOYCE ANNOUNCED AS NEW RESIDENT DJ AT
THE BRICKHOUSE (MANCHESTER) WITH HIS FRIDAY ‘ALTERN@TIVE THERAPY’ NIGHT

Over the years the Brickhouse has played host to some of the most popular and exciting club nights in the city. During the
mid 1990s the Shaft, funk and disco, night and My Generation, 60s, night were the most celebrated revival nights around. For the last three or four years, the regular weekend indie nights have been just as popular, sealing its status as the spiritual home of indie music in the city.
