YO THUNDERINGWORDHEARD!!

Sorry for the mass comment but I just want to fill you in!

I've got a new record coming out!! I've been working on "Can't Let Go" for a long time and it's gonna be in stores in Canada on June the 5th so check it out! The single "11:30" was sent to radio last week so keep an ear out and request it. Hear it and a few other new tracks on my profile... "Can't Let Go" is available NOW on CD Baby.com and through iTunes soon.

I'll be having a CD release party on the 16th of June at the El Mocambo in Toronto. I'll have the full band and we'll be playing the new record live. Also, my good friend Mike Evin will be opening. Come down and join my party!!

innocence, insolence: everone sing

I know where the mirror ends
and where it should
outside the confines of heart & head
open spaces ever-widening
gaps grinning
downsides growing up and giving way
to strangely shaped holes
in which to hide our hopes
sans sense
past tense
applying pressure
where we're sure we've left our memories
overgrown

and the secrets of our secrets' secrets
cast shadows and abandon cupboards
where once lay skeleton
now lies bone
bartered for better sustenance

LOVE is bigger than anything we can talk about. We can discuss human love and we can see small demonstrations of it, but LOVE itself is bigger than this whole earth- which gives everybody a lot to work on. Whenever I hear people say that life is not fair, I say, " You're right. It's not." That still does not limit us, because we have inside us, at e very moment, a happiness which is an extraordinary source of strength. If we cultivate that happiness and recognize the completeness that is within us- indeed, that is our LIFE- the happiness itself matures into love. That LOVE is beyond time and space. It is infinity which gives of itself without ever being reduced. It endlessly creates from within itself without ever being externalized. It is endlessly uplifting and endlessly in harmony. If we devote ourselves to understanding about LOVE and to articulating that understanding all the time, we are not denying our egos. There is, after all, no need to reject or deny the ego. We are only challenging our current state of awareness, questioning our choice to focus on certain aspects of our lives, over others. In this process of challenging and questioning, we expand our egos until finally they become identified with LOVE and with the whole of LIFE. Slowly we come to understand that LIFE is one thing, not ten thousand. The only thing that has ever been truly important in our lives is the LOVE. Even if we have to rip our guts out for it, it is the only thing that sustains us and the only thing that makes our lives interesting in the slightest. It is the one MIRACLE that enlivens and revitalizes the whole program. This is something my teacher, went through hell to give me, and that his teacher went through hell to give him. The way I would say it to you is this- LOVE LIFE ITSELF. LOVE the divine. When you do, the only things you will ever put at risk are your limitations.
