Good news! The brand new powerpopcompilation "Souvenirs" is being released this week! It contains 21 great North American powerpop tracks from 1975-95. You can hear three of the songs that just have been uploaded on our Myspage page.  The CD also contains a previously unreleased song by the great Canadian band Pointed Sticks recorded in the late 70..s. It is availabe from Not Lame Records and Kool Kat Musik, and it will very soon be available from CD Baby.

Brian et al: Please have a listen to my new song, “Consideration” in the mighty MySpace player. It features me and that perfect percussive palooka, Anthony Allen of Washington, D.C. Not a real mix, but pretty much finished. It will appear on my next album, Smellicopter, in 2010/2011.
Please “subscribe” to me if you haven’t already. You need to be in the loop, right?

While sitting around on hiatus one day I got this idea to run out to the woods and make a video. So, I borrowed a camcorder, picked up my director buddy, Guy Bee, along the way, and spent a day strumming up in Topanga and Bell Canyon. Here's what we shot.

"After a long hiatus, pop whiz kids Chewy Marble are back in the game with Modulations...and pop stalwarts such as Nelson Bragg, Jim Laspesa and Don Mogill lend instrumental support. The addition of Kassan as an alternate lead voice lends power to obviously heartfelt compositions..."

"On their third album, Modulations, you'll find much of the kind of hooky, melodic power-pop that has made Chewy Marble a fan favorite. The band also expands their horizons a bit as songwriter Brian Kassan takes on lead vocals on several of the tracks, giving the band a darker, more introspective side. This is an album that could end up as many fans' favorite Chewy Marble disc because of the varying hues."
