Let me know what you think. I nearly cried when I introduced the song. Chris was VERY special to me.

I have not been able to appear at the 3 previous Chris Whitley tribute shows yet.....maybe #4......

And I used the Coricidin bottle that Ronny Elliot gave me, the one that may be Duane Allman's....he had two, and Ronny was trying to teach me slide years ago, and by the time we were done that evening, we did not know which one of the slides was Duane's......so ONE of us has Duane Allman's slide....thank you Ronny :-)

We played for the veterans at the American Legion, and it was the best audience i have had IN YEARS.

R.I.P. Chris, I miss you, dust brother.....

Hi,
I've been a fan of Chris's since reading the review of Living With the Law in Time magazine in the early 90's. The review was called "The New Troubadours." I hadn't heard any of the music, but I bought the album (then on cassette tape) and absolutely loved it. He introduced me to one of my favorite instruments, the National Steel guitar. His poetry and musical delivery was/is unique. Chris's music threads through the last 15 years of my life, and I turn to it for a sense of spiritualism, escape and inspiration. In some way, it always seems to bring me back to myself.
I've recently gone through a trying time and have been playing his music often, which I find both comforting and centering. His loss was much too early and still felt.
My favorite memory is driving through the Nevada and Arizona deserts with Chris on the tape deck in the mid-90's; the perfect soundtrack for such a peaceful, yet awe-inspiring drive through the desert. His music was the soundtrack of the desert sunset, and sunrise.
Please know that Chris's spirit and music is still remembered, enjoyed, and missed.

Hi Chris!! When I bought Your CDIn Paris, in some store with old CD´s, I knew only one song from some sampler, first what I Bought, was a an acoustic album, and I was really cooked from this. I like Your songs, and working with Your- self special harmonis, I mean, nobode using this harmonys, like You. If You would be in Czechg rep. on sometour, would be honour for me, be Your support, You are reelly Mr.musician!
