i def agree the site could be great, but from what ive seen in the last almost 2 months not they havent done anything to anything on the site, its pretty much running on auto pilot. and all they say is third party this or third party that. we shouldnt have to wait for othere people to make programs from your site to make it better, the people who own the site should be doing the most improvments to it. and so far they havent done anything.
and untill they do more and more people will leave

I think this site is a great idea also. I would love to tell more people to sign up too. But my opinion is a little different. I think in order for this site to be successful they need to first take care of all the little things that don't work on the site. Stats, email notifications, message board, advance search feature, etc. They have all these other sites for myspace, facebook, and the blogs. Seems to me that they need to put alot more effort into the main site
www. oneseason. com
. I am not pullin my money out, I usually like to stick with my investments until they run thier course, but I am not putting anymore money in or telling any of my friends to. Plus I think this site has real potiential.

ok i did my part and told many friends about this site but after seen no changes made or real advertiseing or pretty much anything done besides hear blah blah blah third party crap im selling everything off. im sorry but you cant count on othere people and third party to make your site better.ill keep my money in cash till i see the people who OWN the site step up and do anything.
and not low budget advertiseing
Michael

I agree CJ without big advertisements i don't see how we can get out of the sub $1 range

if i was you i wouldnt tell any friends to get in untill alot bigger advertiseing happens, or atlease 2 or 3 big advertiseing.one tv spot for a week and this site would blow up to where is should be.but there against majors advertiseing. only low budget advertiseing. and that means prices are gonna go way down and reverse splits.

Hey OneSeason guys or anyone else that can answer my question. Where can I get information about when and what fixes are going into affect? Is there a kind of wish list of feature that are going to be added to the site? I want to help advertise but when simple things like the inacurate Days Range or the weak search feature are still inplace and there is no info about when it will be fixed. I hate to brag about how great the site is and what it could possibly be, when there is no proof.

yeah i read that in a forum, and i think thats still to high, i think 1.5% would work out alot better make alot more people happy, and have them people that have all this money set aside just refreshing the homepage to get free shares put alot more money back into the site. cause even with 4% and 4 to 6 thousand shares get put out there thats 160 to 240 in free shares. would be alot better if the most they can get 100. i think you should charge like 70% commish on them and that be the money used for advertiseing and up keep on the site.
there still gonna be happy making 5 free bucks on free shares, and then we get alot more money to put towards much needed bigger advertiseing

No single person can get more than 4% of any IPO. The allocation process is based on three prongs: 70% on first-come-first served, 15% on time spent on the site and 15% on number of trades made.

wow that sucks alot, so that mean only the select few are gonna get them everytime cause they just sit there all day everyday refreashing the page. theres gotta be a way so they cant do that though, like make it towhere your only allowed to get as many 1/4 the amount of ipo shares as you have in your profolio.that way if they wanna do that they have to invest in othere shares on site to.theres gotta be a way better system. or een make it 1% so that people dont get hundreds, instead get manybe 40 or 50.makeing it 1% makes alot of sence to me and makes it alot more fair, and thank you for responding like you do. its awesome to get replys.

Unfortunately, as soon as you enter any element of chance or randomness to the IPO process you are then dealing with online gambling. The current process is the most fair way to allocate IPOs.

ive been watching the site and the post for a bit now and it seems like more and more people are giving up on the site instead of comming into the site. and it sucks cause i think its a great idea just needs some adjustments to make it even greater, one big thing is the ipo's need to be changes to random so the people that sit there all day with no money in shares refreshing the screen all day just get free ipo's sell them and do it over and
over. it
shouldnt be your order has to be in, in the first 3 min to get any. random would make it alot more fair to everyone.
it really needs to be done now or very soon

thank you for the heads up, was just wondering what was going on with it thats
all. id
figure that putting it up on majors sites would bring you huge amounts of new money comming and continue to come in from all the trades they would make for a long time to come, people love to click on some flashy banners on major sites, lol
OneSeason
Nov 9, 2008 12:16 AM
It is generally not cost effective to run banner campaigns across major sites. However, we are currently running extensive ads on Facebook and across the Yardbarker network of sites. You can also see us in the paid search results on both Google and Yahoo! We will be rolling out many more campaigns in the future. Just because you don't see ads on the home page of ESPN doesn't mean we're not advertising or growing.

that sounds great, but ive heard this response a bunch of times now, but yet to hear where the advertising is gonna be put up on. and when its gonna be put up.theres a big differnce between them advertising on a small name site. or on espn or front page of myspace or aol where many can see it.
just wanna be informed

You guys need to spend a little money to make a LOT of money

Have you tried promoting the site through
SI. com
's Hot Clicks page or
ESPN. com
page 2? Both sites are more of a hybrid of sports and pop culture and would be likely to feature the site in a story.
