yoYOyoYO! Stoked at work today, found Pandora.com that lets you type in bands/artists you like, and it shuffles their music (and bands that sound like them), so TODAAAAY in the recovery room where I work in the hospital, I'm rockin this station filled with Pictures & Sound, Mike Doughty, The Panderers, Breakestra, etc, etc..... You see where I'm goin with this?? =D

Yessir! I just got away from my first Pearl! What a night. I haven't had a high like that in a while! I wasn't even looking for a kit! I set that shit up right when I got home, I was on the way home from work, just went in to get some sticks before practice tomorrow. I only stopped playing a bit ago because it was almost midnight here and I hadn't eaten dinner yet and was starving! ;-) So excited, I had to share, haha, I knew you'd get it, it was like I was a little kid or something.

soooo....... mr. pete Funk. Wanted to stop by again and drop the knowledge. Couple things.

I emailed 2 fellas from a local DJ crew today. I sent out a myspace bulletin and blog saying I'm a funky drumma in a band, looking for more work basically, and digging the idea of playing w/a dj. I was recommended by 2 good friends to that local dj crew. So Im pretty stoked about venturing out thatta way. We'll see.

I don't think you are off to Australia yet (my FAV effin' country), but enjoy, I'm sure you will!

The Panderers put out a new EP?! w/ Mr. McNeal I assume? so I should go grab that?

And quick question I'm not sure you'll be able to answer. How do you not "overplay". I've heard of this term and have even been told myself that I "overplay". The band I play with has like 30 songs. I practice them allllllll the time, and feel I'm ALWAYS adding to them, and playing more, "overplaying".

I don't wanna confuse my guitar players in any way. And I notice you know exactly when to get funky, and when to lay low and keep it tight. I just don't know, don't wanna be that "overplaying" drummason... Ideas?!
