So Eddie VH in a recent guitar mag interview (where he was on the cover with Tony Iomni) basically said he might not come out with another album for Van Halen because of two reasons....

1) Big Major Labels might not pay for it....he referred to a comment like "at your own expense"
2) People or Reviews may not say that it would be as good as the "classics"

Well, with that being a description that's pretty accurate we have to say that you guys...Chickenfoot...took a differenct tact that made an album without reservations or considerations of your past glories. And well done, Bravo...take a bow.
Song like "Soap on a Rope" can in this person's humble opinion, stand up to virtually anything any of you have done in the past and might it be said...surpasses it or at the very least equals the very best of your albums of yesteryear.

Now, hopefully the other half of Van Hagar now back to being known as Van Halen will see fit to be brave and put out a killer album too. There certainly is room enough for both of your groups and many will think that the current situation of a Chickenfoot existing alongside the current Van Halen line-up to two for the price of one....now how cool is that!
