I'm right with you on the busy-ness. Work is all-consuming. I tried to eat an apple yesterday and it turned into an invoice.

Had a pretty good summer. Egypt. Sakara lager. The TV series 'Mad Men'.

WAHOO Becca. Life is pretty football-centric for me at the minute. Euro 2008 has started. Scotland aren't in it but nonetheless, I feel totally pumped about it all. I whapped a tenner on a 12/1 Croatia to win. Purchase of Ebay Croatia flag: pending.

Recent tragedy here in Omaha struck us hard as we have had enormous personal loss from the shooting&other recent events. We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives of good people and a sad young man who was unable to find his way. As a juvenile attorney and nurse,we have saved some and lost others.We do well as a community to pull together and I truly believe the future will be bright.. We wrote a song. It's simple and we offer it to our friends. "One Last Song." is at myspace. Please take time to go there and listen. Love and Peace

No sign of Camborne Hill as of yesterday, but we haven't heard from them today, so who knows! We just got back from All Tomorrow's Parties. It was fab. I saw about 18 bands out of all of them on offer, including Nick Cave, Grinderman, Dirty Three, Low, Joanna Newsom, Bill Callahan, A silver Mount Zion, Papa M, Magnolia Electric Co. Hmmm, come to think of it, not many Brits in there for an English music festival!

Hey Becca! Happy 16/4 to you. No, it's not a significant date that I know of but I just wanted to highlight that these greetings come from across the pond. Us with our funny way we put the date and all!

Anyway, just to let you know that I listened to BES while I cleaned my bathroom yesterday. It took quite a time I can tell you but it gave me a chance to listen to a whole set! Thank you for getting me through that.

TALK ABOUT ABSOLUTE HEARTBREAK!!!

I just got a lovely eggshell blue envelope in the mail with your handwriting. Unfortunately, the back of the envelope is gone and so is the letter. The only thing that remains is the red stamp smashed all over it that says CONTENTS MISSING, BUFFALO, NY.

So devestated. Would have been perfect today! Wahhhh!

We got home from Sacred Harp Singing and are almost done listening to Fresh Air on NPR. Next we will make egg salad sandwiches, have a beer or two, and listen to Low's new album (Drums and Guns).
