Ldamie was a brass caster working in Ga-plei, Liberia in the period 1925-35. His beautiful brass figures are found around the world.
He is best known for his figures of men and women engaged in daily activities, including young women carrying water, winnowing rice, grinding rice, and cutting brush or crops; women, arms outstretched, with leopard tooth necklaces; acrobats; and musicians playing percussion or pipes.
