I pledge to spread the truth of common sense. Of individuality and personal freedom. Of respect for others regardless of how they deride me or others. Of responsibility to future generations. No matter who is in office, I'll defend these truths, no longer seen as self-evident but self-evident nonetheless, to the end. I love this country and pray that others will not trade their values for handouts, their livelihoods for empty promises, or their patriotism for anything.

What if every thing we think we know is wrong? Would we fight to change it or fight to keep it the same. Our Paradigm starts before we are born, we only know of ourselves from the vantage point of the womb... When we are born our circle is ourselves and our mother, then, the rest of the family... Some things fly in and out of our circle, like plants of people, but things that matter to us, tend to stay... For the Mi’kmaq our Tribe was a circle that included the Earth, Sun Moon, Planets, Stars and "all things" in the Universe.....In modern life our circle keeps growing, from family, to neighborhood, to school, high school. Usually it separates here as some people go off to work and form their own families and others go off to the Military, or college to pursue interests in different circles.... People even travel in different circles.... Their beliefs become their labels and their labels their beliefs... I’m white, I’m black, I’m Native American, I’m Asian, European, I’m Jewish, Catholic, Buddhist, Hindi, Islamic, I’m Woman, I’m Man, Democrat, Republican.... What's one's Paradigm? Where does one stop growing?

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!!! MY 10 YR OLD SON AND I SAT IN THE DARK TONIGHT AND HAD A WONDERFUL CONVERSATION ON THE WAY THINGS WERE IN THE "OLD DAYS". WHAT A PRICELESS EVENING W/ HIM. IT WAS HIS IDEA TO TURN EVERYTHING OFF.SEE WE STILL HAVE HOPE W/ OUR YOUTH AS LONG AS WE CAN AND WILL BE THERE FOR THEM.

About this page:
I have been very active in Domestic Violence causes all of my adult life. I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this.

I've been fired up since the campaign and was ready to roll from election day, but today after watching the President speak at the DNC retreat I'm positively ON FIRE. It is time to STOP the bickering, STOP the games, and STOP the power-struggle. It is time to START healing America, START putting into law policies which will move us into the 21st century, and START to mobilize to push for this bill. We've been too dormant these last two weeks, as witnesses to the debacle going on in Washington. We The People have allowed the Republican party to tarnish OUR vision for a better America, to take away from the focus of a greatly changed America. President Obama came to change Washington and he's being met with opposition to the changes We The People worked so hard to set in motion. Now while we were heard loud and clear on November 4th and while we celebrated with great joy on January 20th, we have in a since failed to support the change we sought. We The People have to rally, call, email, and do everything within our individual as well as collective power to make sure all this was not in vain. I agree with President Obama that no plan is perfect, but I go further to say that the failed plans are imperfect and the probability of the Stimulus and Recovery Bill's success far outweights the failures of the past. Why not be bold, and look foward? Change comes in swift, sweeping steps, and to rather crawl then try and walk is testimony to an unwilliness to change. We need to make the sacrifices we've been called upon to guarantee that each and eveyone of us did our part to realize a better America. So please while we may not agree on everything, on each miniscule detail of this bill, let's agree that the bleeding must stop, and let's now act on the knowledge that we are what we've been waiting on. Now is the time for action...let's not wait another second!

I pledge to start looking at things more closely. No offense, but I'm very curious as to how dumping $Trillions$ on top of the problem is going to change things for the better. I believe we should pass the "Fair Tax,"
and there should be term limits for members of Congress — 12 years and go home.
Instead of automatic pay raises, you lose 2 percent of your congressional salary every year you don't balance the budget. Just an idea that many people share. God bless.
