Paul	Jan 28, 2007 10:06 PM To the previous poster, I hear your frustration. What you have heard is both true and untrue. The new owners are in no way "Anti-Park" and we have plans to maintain and improve what we currently offer in our terrain parks. The reason we don't have a pipe this year is that the new management doesn't feel we can offer you a decent product with the resources we have available. And rather than just slap something together that is gonna suck, they decided to pull the plug for the time being. Parks, particularly halfpipes, use up a HUGE amount of time and money. Between the park, the pipe and grooming the rest of the mountain...something had to give and unfortunately the halfpipe was it. However, the new guys listen really well and they definitely want to hear what you have to say. So, go to the website and offer us some feedback. Fill out comment cards at the mountain. The more voices crying out for the pipe to return, the more likely we are to see it come back.

Snowboard Central	Jan 8, 2007 4:58 AM Yo, Now I don't know if you (the person that runs this profile) works at Bear Valley or anything but I just want you to hear me out. I am standing up for myself and others when I say this. We think that closing the half pipe is whack. I heard from locals that the new owner is anti-park and is taking out the pipes and does not plan on replacing or repairing boxes or rails. To us thats completely taking away the meaning of skiing and snowboarding. Yes, everyone loves riding pow but without the terrain parks to show off our major skills and get some epic filmage then there is no point in going to BV. Bear Valley is my favorite resort to go to b/cuz its relaxing and is not pro-status. It is a kick-back place thats chill. Now I don't know what the owner has in mind about the future of Bear Valley but by taking out the terrain parks then I am just going to say that many people will get mad and its not going to be a favored resort. Just saying that as a heads up. I mean yall just got the new quad and if you leave the terrain parks in you will probably get major business. Happy Boarding! _SC
