michigan definately misses the mckean brothers, its so sad, you guys on opposite ends of the continent... i like your new stuff, quite the departure from pk, but i could see you heading in that kind of "psychedelic" direction in the end thar ... keep up the good work

storytime! so i had your CD in my dad's car (which i use when he's not) and today he asked me what disc ..2 was. of course it was "shades are drawn, " but my dad didn't believe me! he thought you sounded just like franz ferdinand. so i had to explain your connection with the push kings (which he's also overheard me playing and become a fan of) and why your CD might sound somewhat familiar (though not too much, in my opinion). phew! now everything's straightened out and your album is happily loaded onto my dad's iPod for him to listen to during his 14+ hour flight to the philippines on wednesday (yay!). and the moral of the story: my dad's a pretty cool guy, being 49 and willing to listen to his 17-year-old daughter's indie rock. :)
