[= My brother has been training in Yuma, Arizona for the past three weeks; he gets back to his station in Jacksonville, NC in one more. He called my mother the other night and was telling her that he was feeling depressed and really missing his family, so the SGT let him call us.. Mom asked him if he had it to do over again, would he.. She told me that he hesitated for a long time then replied, 'I don't know.' I've never had to go through anything like this, and I'm just afraid for my brother. Wondering if he's okay, if he's happy still with his decision, if he's going to be alright in the long run. I'm trying my best to support him, but I really don't know what he needs to hear. Mom told me that he was worried about me, for what reason I have no idea. All I can think of to tell him is that I love him, and that I support him in anything he does, and that I'm still so proud of him and hope that it's enough. I want to console him and tell him that everything will be okay, but I'm just not sure how. I know it depends solely on the character of the person when it comes to something like this, but I just don't know what to do right now. I feel like a huge part of my family is missing. I really have one to talk about this with but family, but when I speak about it I always start crying. Being somewhere where there are other people going through the same thing is real helpful. I don't think I'm looking for advice, or even comfort.. I just needed to get it out, I guess. I feel a lot better now. Thank you. So much. ♥
