Legalize It!

Tom Ammaniano (state assemblyman from San Francisco) just introduced a
bill into the state assembly to tax and regulate marijuana as we do
alcohol -- i.e., it would be legalized, taxed, and regulated.
Like
alcohol, sales would be limited to folks over 21, penalties would be in
place for dui, sale to minors, etc.
in other words, it sounds like the
right approach.
The bill's official number is AB390, and more info will probably be available soon at www. norml. org and www. mpp. org.

If you have a minute, call and/or email your state assembly person and
Senator to encourage them to support the bill.
You can look up their
contact info online based on your zip code:
http://www. legislature. ca. gov/port-zipsearch. html.

Feel free to pass this along.
The bill is fighting an uphill battle
against a vast legacy of misguided and uninformed policy, and it will
only have a chance of passing if people speak up in favor.

This bill will provide California with one billion dollars of revenue each year (each ounce is taxed $50)

Do your part to help LEGALIZE IT!

Cherry Blossom Miss Catwings will be performing @ Don Ho's. Artwork by Hanasaurusrex (i.e. bananagrafeeks), Ian Aragon, Dr. Evil, Dodge Distad & more on display. Tattoo show by Koi Tattoo & more.

My series "The Open Mic Documentary " has been nominated for a Cable TV Award as the "Best Arts Coverage: Series"!!! But being nominated for an Award is second only to

Hi Grace,
Have fun at the Red Vic on Friday. We had a lot of fun playing there last year. We will be at the Barefoot Cafe in Santa Clara that night. It will be the first time we have played there, but we have been there before and they have awesome coffee. Keep in touch!

congrats on playing @ such a prestigious venue!

Come check out an hour acoustic set for my first time playing in San Mateo @ the illustrious Bacio Cafe this Thursday, January 17th @ 8PM! Thomas Boles to follow! Bacio Cafe is an Italian-inspired coffee lounge offering a wide assortment of hot, iced, or frozen coffee/espresso beverages, international beers, wines, and soju cocktails. Located in downtown San Mateo, the cafe is an ideal place to come before and after a movie, to listen to live music, to see local artists exhibiting their works, and of course to enjoy a creative menu of panini, bruschette, and tramezzini. Unlike most cafes Bacio is also unique because the door stays open late into the night! (til 10PM Sun + Wed + 12AM Thu-Sat)
