Hi. Thanks for your kind words.
The mic I used was just a Shure SM58 but I double up the vocal recording by copying it to another track. It thickens the vocal up. With the guitar I recorded to 2 tracks (simultaneously). One using the SM58 and the other using the on board pickup. Also, I found I get better results, for both guitar and vocal, going through my Marshall acoustic amp and then DI out to my digital recorder. I must stress I'm a novice but I find it works for me. Hope this helps.
