“ Yeah, but it was really crowded.” She had curls past her shoulders. Her eyes were a deep green, green as the Atlantic Ocean.
He looked into her eyes “You know, the best work I’ve ever composed was near the Atlantic Ocean.”
This seemed to confuse her a little. “Would you write a song about me?”
He leaned back against the wood backboard of the booth and looked over to a lithograph on the wall. Or was it a print? It was liquid emulsion on paper. The colors ranged from brown to black to white. The print went for $500.He was fascinated by it. It kind of made him want to go to the bar.
“Up on the Atlantic, people are so creative, they’re more into writing books than songs.” He looked over to the kitchen. “What’s the deal with women wanting songs written about them, anyway? Like, what are you going to do with it when it’s recorded? I remember I wrote this song for somebody. It was called Barnstorming. It was a double entendre about love and flying a WWII biplane through a barn without getting killed.”

The new album is brilliant! My only complaint is that I was hoping for a full length version of Nigel's greatest composition, "Lick My Love Pump". Rock on and hail Satin! (Or spandex if you prefer)

Hey guys!

Caught the Detroit show by Guest, McKean and Shearer..Unwigged & Unplugged. You know, where they play your music and tunes from some movie about a fart...
They didn't do half bad with your tunes even though they didn't use amplified electric guitars.
Somehow "Big Bottom" just didn't sound as good through only one bass (and no amps that go to 11).

Still I had a good time.
