MPP is the largest marijuana policy reform organization in the United States. Founded in 1995, MPP works to minimize the harm associated with marijuana -- both the consumption of marijuana and the laws that are intended to prohibit its use. MPP believes that the greatest harm associated with marijuana is prison. To this end, MPP focuses on removing criminal penalties for marijuana use, with a particular emphasis on making marijuana medically available to seriously ill people who have the approval of their doctors. MPP doesn't encourage marijuana use. But our failed marijuana laws cost taxpayers billions of dollars a year, keep police from focusing on real crimes, and fail to keep marijuana away from kids. We believe it's time for a new approach-- taxation and regulation. Sincerely, The Marijuana Policy Project

special thanks to all the folks at ccrm for all the hard work youve done for us... each time this question reaches the polls we get that much closer... although i was greatly disapointed with the news of question 7 failing again.. I will keep on providing people with correct info on marijuana and help people see that our current laws arent working.. and next time we will succeed.. anyways thanks a million guys...

well we tried but the real problem is that we all want to fight but not all want to vote. with only half the state voting it will be hard to get anything passed.
I voted and i hope we try again keep up the good fight

I was visibly disappointed when the results of Question 7 were projected. I want to commend everyone at CRCM for their campaign. The odds were definitely stacked against this question, but CRCM did a wonderful job. Your campaigns were brilliantly designed, honest, and reached a lot of voters who originally thought they would vote "no" on the question. You did a fantastic job. My only regret is not having helped out with the campaign more. Congrats on your efforts. We'll be waiting for the next time!

Damn straight we voted early and gave a huge YES on question 7! I agree with the earlier comment about alcohol and tobacco...marijuana does not kill! It's time to take personal responsibility back from the government and put it where it belongs...on the individual!

Oct 24, 2006 9:02 AM

Marijuana should be legalized. Honestly....there are THOUSANDS of deaths from cigarettes and alcohol EVERY DAY. Yet how many deaths you hear that are caused from marijuana? If you ask me there should be more strick laws on alcohol and cigarettes then on marijuana. The only deaths that are related to marijuana are gang related. If marijuana was legalized there wouldn't be anymore of gang related deaths. There wouldn't be all the thousands of dollars wasted on tryng to prevent it. It would be a big boost in the economy also. So maybe you should turn your attention to cigarettes and alcohol which are the true killers. Comment or message me back with your return arguements. Thank you.
