4 Decades of Folk Rock …

Four Decades of Folk Rock

This specially compiled 4 CD Box Set from Time Life features the best
Folk Rock songs from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s!
Includes 71 Songs That Defined An Era and Influenced Generations...
In Stores September 11

Not just another genre, folk rock was born as a statement—of purpose, of taste, of superiority—the baby boom’s first imprimatur, a musical mission and a personal battle cry in a divisive time of racial tension and escalating war. For a generation of philosopher dropouts and drug-inspired visionaries, it was also the best way to partake in the era’s hippest form of artistic expression, in numbers previously unknown to man.

Hey I have a bunch of County Mounty bootlegs from the late 80's early 90's. I heard about the box set and am more than willing to "donate" the recordings to the cause in return for a small honoraium. Some of them are from the soundboard, some audience tapes, including the fabled June 7 1991 Levittown "armpit tape" that only one copy is known to exist. Let me know how I can help!

Peace

I thought Shecky Goldenblattschmuckstein was your manager?

You know, the guy who manages Carrot top and the Polish/Irish Hip Hop sensation - Douche Bag McGee and the Fabulous 3. They had that top 1000 hit "Bitch betta have my accordian!"

We thought of hiring him when he told us he was representing you guys.

I see, Kev "The Dube" Dubrow must be holding a grudge. I guess he's not over his addiction to boy sex yet....once an addict always an addict, even in recovery.

Tony you certainly are way too talented to have anything to do with Joel or the Dube! I felt those stories were suspect.

What you say and play are Gospel! My "Bad Torino" brother!

So I'm walking down 3rd ave in Brooklyn under the BQE circa 1994 and I notice a beggar on the corner of 33rd n 3rd. He asks me if I have some change or a smoke. I give him 27 cents and am about to keep walking when it hits me!...He's wearing a Gauntlet! a Dog Collar, a tight fitting shirt with Japans rising sun. Super tight jeans and Cowboy boots. There's a bald spot in the center of his head like a fleshy yamulca. It's friggin Kevin Dubrow!!!

So we get to talking. I ask him "WHat the hell are you doin here?" He tells me some hard luck cock n bull rock n roll story of drugs, underaged girls and boys, infidelity and mismanagement. So he hit the skids as it were.

He drops a little nugget on me about Mr. Canelioni, he says you guys used to jam together back in the day before either of you made it big. Also that you were a founding member of Mr. William Joel's "Attila"!!!! WOAH! That was earth shattering news. He told me of a feud you had with Joel over whether or not there should be guitar in Attila, you were kicked out and Attila went on into obscurities hall of fame.

But that you to this day attribute Billy Joels fame as a solo artist to your pre album Attila gigs.

Is this true?? Was Kevin on a crack high when he told me this????

Since then "Kev the Dube" as I like to call him has cleaned up thanks to my harassment/encouragement. He can be seen at www.kevindubrow.com with brand new hair weave and new music. Rock on!

I Buy Most of my County Mounty Music Online False (on what line?)
I own an iPod False(what the hell is an Ipod?)
I don't mind advertisements True(as long as there are tits in it!)
I clip coupons True (Grandma taught me well)
I would like a rock song about fast cars True (I cannot drive 55 as a poet once said)
I would stop buying music from a rock band with a gay band member T(depends on how gay? like just a lil' gay...blow job thro a glory hole or really flaming like Rob Halford?)
I like box sets True (All the "cool" extras and all in a fine designed box to place on the mantle)
I like Box sets even if I own all of the songs on the box set True (I still have all my Kansas vinyl and have the box set on the mantle)
I would spend $25 on a Rock Band's T-shirt True (I love shirts for world tours!)
I would spend $45 on a rock band's T-shirt True (Tour dates show people I was there!)
I would spend $45 on a rock T-shirt even if it had a corporate advert of say "Pepsi" or "Coors Light" emblazoned on it True (I prefer Pabst but Coors light will do)
Even if the advert were larger than the Band's logo? True(well maybe...I mean I reeeeally like beer)
I would be happy if a band performed 1 encore song False ( need at least an hour encore! diggin up the ol' favorites and it gives me more time to cruise the chicksat the show)

Hell No tried with all their might to be like County Mounty but we fell short. Short of talent, short or endurance, shot of cock.

Andy's Vocal stylings are unmatchable and Tony Voncent Cannelioni's guitar stylings are the licks of God himself. Licking and lapping your face like a hungry horny dog. Soaking your hair, your mouth, digging deep into the corners of your mouth to get a crumb of food. Soaking your neck for salt.

I tried to take lessons with Mr. Cannelioni but his classes were full! Full of girls throwing themselves at him.

We tried to send John to Vocal training with Andy but alas his classes were full as well. With young strangely feminine Filipino boys and blonde aryan dream women.

What Hell No wouldn't give to have been graced with their talents on and of stage.
