I love what you do. As a younger man I used to pick up random tapes from various sources (garage sales, pawn shops, thrift stores, and even the garbage and listen to them. Mostly they sucked, but every now and then there would be something great. When Jacob Smigel first introduced me to the concept of found sounds with his collection it clicked with me instantly. There is so much to be discovered.

Heyy there! We're about to put out a CD. Since were doing something similar to you, I was wondering if you knew anything about the legalities of 'found sound'? We've been getting rid of last names and phone numbers, but other than that do you know if anything thrown away or donated to a thrift store is considered public domain?

Lovely! Quite Lovely! I'm so glad that you are doing what you're doing. May I set some of the things you've collected to music? (My "thing" is figuring out the notes and rhythms of spoken word stuff and having a band play along with it). You are the ONE I was hoping to meet.
