Hey Reggie, as you may have already heard some scientist have successfully produced In Vitro Pork, the process is still emergent and the science is still in it's infancy but I was wondering if you could mention it on your show.

As you may know our planet isn't exactly as stable as it appears to be. Even just recently we went through the little ice age in europe, and Yellowstone has been very active of late. This sort of technology could ensure our survival through times of global crisis, when other animals would simply go extinct.

As much as we like to think we're invulnerable, we're not, all it will take is for the bread baskets to fail for any prolonged period and billions will die. Vat grown food could ensure that never has to happen.

Am I the only one who heard straw men arguments misrepresenting what Dawkins actually says about Emergent Complexity, Memetics, ect?

Dawkins never suggested that everything we do is determined by genetics either, he's actually argued the opposite. Just because Genetics influences our actions and behaviors doesn't mean that every specific thing we do is coded into our DNA.

I wonder if In Vietro Meat and other Vat Grown Foods will ever take off. It would surpass even Norman Borlaug's contributions in both lives saved and mouths fed, and if the bread baskets of the world ever failed due to global ice age or drought it would make the difference between survival and extinction.

:( Twilight New Moon kind of sucked. I mean the Werewolf parts were kind of cool and they got rid of the annoying lead actor from the first one but the acting was horrible, it was full of cheezy angst and melodrama, and Bella just struck me as a mindless idiot who automatically clings to the nearest dominate male. All of the characters are also way too one dimensional, Jacob was the only one I didn't either feel disdain for or want to skewer through the eyes with a fire poker... Yeah...

You know, I hate Syfy. I used to watch Farscape, I know it was Cheesy but it knew it was Cheesy and it had fun with it and it worked, had a huge cult following, and the idiots at Syfy (Sci-Fi at the time) cancelled it for a new Original Series that didn't work. Then they had The Invisible Man, not my favorite show but it had a lot of fans, and it got cancelled for another crappy series that fell flat on it's face. Then there was Stargate SG1, it was awesome the last season was epic and I loved where it was going, but it got cancelled for Atlantis which didn't do as well and while good wasn't quite as good... Now Atlantis got cancelled for SGU, which is a melodramatic soap-opera in space. If you must watch to see if things pick up at some point, download it via torrent at The Pirate Bay with Bit Torrent and watch it with the VLC media player (which is free) because Syfy doesn't deserve your ratings and the other crappy shows surrounding it don't deserve the halo effect.

I don't know if you are aware of this but there are literally millions of victims of islam and they desperately need advocates, Many of the victims were and are in islamic nations where they are not given the right to tell any truth which might offend islam, Christians at the top of the list of those victims of islam and they have no voice in islamic nations,

I also thought Star Gate Universe sucked, it's great to know I'm not alone. I'm a huge Stargate fan and let me say I was extremely disappointed with the premier episodes of SGU. I'll be watching it a few more weeks to see as it picks up, but at the moment it's too much like Lost. Does that make it Lost In Space? Pardon the terrible pun, but only a pun so terrible is fitting of such a terrible spinoff.

How's everything with the "heterosexual mating game" going for you? heheh :)

In my opinion, Charlie Check'm isn't a rational thinker of any sort, (or thinker for that matter) but rather only an opportunist trying to cash in with the atheist community. I feel he's potentially as much, if not more dangerous than the Westboro Baptist Church. Thankfully he's a relatively unknown recording artist. I also feel he should seek help from from a qualified mental health professional. Unfortunately, he was on my friends list for some time. Once I became aware of his views, I deleted him, and as many of his friends that I found that had him in their top friends list.

I'm sure that I'm not the only atheist who accepted his friend request without reviewing his page first. People like Charlie not only make me question my stance on free speech, but also my stance on the death penalty. After just over 2 hours of listening to Charlie, I'm thoroughly exhausted. I'm taking a nap. I'm angry. I'm sad. I'm frustrated. Argh!!

Hey Reggie, any chance you'll ever do a show on what it would take for humanity to survive the Yellowstone Eruption? You know, Wind and Nuclear Power, water and air recycling like on the space station, in vietro (vat grown) meat, and all that jazz.

That, my friend, is a very serious topic. We human are terrible at reacting to impending disasters until it's too late, but enough intelligent and educated people listen to your show that talking about these things may get the right people thinking, and acting. With all the seismic activity at Yellowstone lately, it's definitely worth talking about.

It is weird how that works. Christian, Muslim and other kinds of cults can judge you, make 'rules,' and isolate you, then they expect to be revered as if they said something that meant squat. Will we ever work out the issues of the family, pain, and demonization? Who knows? Do have any thoughts on the Westboro Baptist Church? The video playing on my page is their newest, and my Satan Speaks bulletin talks about my history with the WBC. They were terrorizing everyone in Los Angeles this morning. They even drove through Beverly Hills yelling obscenities at me and my neighbors. However, they knew better than to stop. ::evil laugh::

freethought mc, here...I was just wondering if you had anymore info. on that atheist rapper creator (from stratosfaction) who did that "infidel" song that you have on your page. I can't find a myspace or facebook page, but I waana hear more from this cat and maybe work with him.
