Oh, yeah about Starbucks in Chicago... they even have a special Chicago blend (Gold Coast) named after the richest neighborhood. Rich white people and their coffee.

Whenever I go to Manhattan I'm still surprised by how many Starbucks there are. There are Starbucks in some of the Starbucks, and there are some Starbucks in the Barnes & Nobles that are in really big Starbucks.

hey mike! I'm still in arizona so not much snowboarding this year but i'm movig to portland this summer so i can screw myself up next year. I'll be home april 28th through may 5th. how's fatherhood?

Congrats on the new house!

I'm sure Mary will be much happier back in the country, and the Sanborn-area is a much nicer place to raise kids. I mean going to the NF Hyde Park Freakshow, er, I mean, "Fair" is nice and all, but Sanborn will be much nicer. I always loved going to my grandparents' home in Sanborn as a kid instead of the city life of NF.

It's a really good decision, so again, congrats!

That "gist" thing is so funny, because I was teaching Freshman Comp the other day and I told students to read all of their stories twice. I was going to say that the first time they should read to "just to get the gist of it," but then I blanked on hard or soft "g" so I just said "jsu to the general idea."

Mike, reading your blog again about the Foley thing---one thing I gotta emphasize though is that Foley was NOT forced to resign, he resigned on his own after ABC News threatened to publish the IMs and emails. Not that big of a deal between the two, as Foley prolly would have been forced to resign anyways if he didn't on his own accord, but I believe it DOES make a huge difference when Tom Reynolds said the following in his apologetic TV ad:

"I immediately forced Foley to resign. Nobody's angrier and more disappointed than me that I didn't catch his lies. I trusted that others had investigated. Looking back, more should have been done, and for that, I am sorry."

That's a straight up lie to his district! Peep the ad again here:

Wish I could help vote Tom Reynold's ass outta there, but I'll be spending my vote tryin' to boot Mark Kennedy out of Minnesota, although I don't really like Klobuchar that much neither since she was a big supporter of the Patriot Act....out!

so chicken.. i start school in approximately... ohh i dono like what.. 7 hours and 12 minutes. yeah. i cant sleep. oh well. 7 days and 13 minutes till my bdayyyyyy.. wooooooohoooooooooo. i will definately have to drive you somewhere sometime next week. i plan on gettin my permit on my actualy birthday so... yeah. anywho.. uhhhh. i got new timbs... there grey. iight well i guess i will be going now. i love you chicken!!!!!!!!!!!!
