Funny thing about that too. I read Descartes' "Discourse on Method" and he brings that up. So does Alberti in his "Treatise on Painting." And those are two of the biggest geniuses of mankind's history haha. I think the important thing is just that they get finished at some point in the near future. If you start them, and start something else in the middle, that's fine as long as you finish everything in a timely manner. Haha I don't know I am lost in the creative mindset too hahaha
