Blood Root Mother	Nov 27, 2009 7:21 PM Hello!! If you're around on Thursday, December 10th, we are playing a show at Mario's Keller Bar. I don't know if you've been there, but it's a very cool place. It's a comfortable space, the room sounds great and they have a stellar beer selection. Also, we will be playing ALL NIGHT! We'll play some funky, bluesy, and soulful music. We'll project live video onto a 9 ft screen. We'll play some older material that hasn't been heard in awhile, as well as some brand new songs that've never been heard. All bets are off!! It’s several months since I reviewed Josiah Wordsworth’s EP ‘Blue State’ see http://abi-rhodes. typepad. com/abi_rhodes_zigzag_wanderi/2007/11/jerry-lee-rachm. html . The fact that I still regularly play it is testament to just how good the record is. I simply don’t have the time to keep on revisiting second rate records. So, you can imagine how excited I was to receive a copy of the new album ‘Wordsworth!’ The overall feel of the new album is of a balanced and mature nature. It’s not as frenetic as the EP, which is probably a good thing – even if it’s initially not quite as mind-blowing as it’s predecessor. It won’t find me travelling down the road at totally excessive and unreasonable speeds trying to keep up with the tunes! I’m always pleased to review instrumental music as there just ain’t enough of it about these days – when did you last see a significant instrumental that wasn’t a movie theme in the charts? – I bet you can’t remember, it’s been so long. Yet in the ‘Good Old Days’ of the 1960s and 70s [and before] instrumentals were a regular feature of popular music. I’m not gonna give you a blow by blow account of this excellent CD – read the previous review and you’ll get a pretty accurate picture of what it’s like. I’ll just say if you like instrumental music and you admire musicians of the ilk of Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman, you’re bound to dig Josiah Wordsworth and you should visit the Myspace [ http://www. myspace. com/josiahwordsworth ] to find out how to get hold of the all music on offer to date. I think you’ll feel it’s been worth your while when you’ve done so.
