Olly The Octopus is a quirky, relevant and up coming folk rock artist on the current music scene. ‘A Call To Arms For Hippies’ is a charity single is released 14th December to coincide with the festive market is to raise funds for the MAP – Medical Aid for Palestinians.
It has the sound and style of the legendary Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, mixing jaunty acoustic guitar, accordion and neat metallic percussion.
The lyrics tell the story of how the sixties hippy generation failed to follow through with their music and ideals. The song urges today’s generation to change the status quo and use the power of music to change the world for the better.
