Mike Seeger will be missed. He was a perfomer at the San Diego Folk Festival (at SDSU) in the mid 1970's . He stayed at my parents house with his girlfriend on the Family Room couch for about 4 evenings during the 1974 or 1975 festival. I remember him being very softspoken and friendly... cheers to Mike for all the great music over the years.

I'm currently learning to play the dulcimer using "The Appalachian Dulcimer" by Jean Ritchie released by Folkways. Amazing! Thanks for your invaluable recordings!

Thanks for your friendship, In the last week, I've listened to 23 of the 24 Smithsonian Folkways 1 hour programmes and found it amazing that even though I hadn't been born in many of the eras that were covered, the music itself had a major influence not only on my life, but also on many of the songs I have written and performed.

The people who dediated their lives to collecting this music should be held in the highest esteem, as should those of you who continue to maintain the tradition.

Really appreciate the different music that you record and keep on with showing the American Roots of all our music. Someday hope to visit the great Smithsonian Museam in Washington DC. When I was manager of  the
Famous 5- time Grammy Award Winner and the King of Tex Mex , Accoridon Music Mr.Flaco Jimenez,himself. We did a documnetary for you. I believe we also donated one of his accordions to your wonderful Musuem.  Most of what The Texmanicas play which is good, are classic recordings that Flaco did,and took Max Baca all over the USA and Europe,the world , with him whiile Max was learing. So it is good that is he carring his music on.

Hey Guys,
because of another delay of our album-release to October 8th, I decided to bring on two new songs from the record online!

First is our rendition of one of Woody Guthrie's best songs ever: "Deportees (Plane crash at Los Gatos)" - Today more important than EVER!!!

Second one is a nasty, bluesy Saffer-Original, for years already in the live set, here right now the studio-version of "Most hated man in town"!

Thanks for the kind comment and offer you left on Dwayne's Verheyden's Website. He is a fantastic and most talented young man that is carrying our Tex-Mex Music and especially Flaco Jimenez Music forward ( in his accordion) all over the world. I am very proud to have been Flaco's Manager for several years and now am very proud to be Dwayne's Manager as well. He is in Europe, The Netherlands ,where Flaco Jimenez,is their idol and they love his music. Dwayne will be coming to San Antonio,TX. in October this year to perform here in several concerts.
