God's great mother
has seen me dead
these thousand years gone
and
with little more than kissed by the breeze
I am sent into another eternity of alone
where
at horizon's edge
uncertain darkness looms
begging me
leap from this earth's face
into the abyss
falling deeply into her
seeing the birth of a new day
spreading its vast ambivalence
across a barren landscape

what will consume me
when mine body decays
like mine soul has
while under thy reign
like mine will has
while in thy numb heart

send me sinking
deep into Lucifer's waiting arms
where I might be as warm
as I thought I could be
in your heart's flame

what sacrifice I shall make
to know what hell has to make of me

will I seem me more alive
than I have been
in a lifetime
or will this eternity with you
make me whole
again
