Several weeks ago, we had a wonderful discussion via email about the good ole' college days and the impact it had on our lives. Never would I have thought that would be the last conversation with him. He was a very sweet person..no matter who he was around, he was the same. It goes to show that the next day (or hour) is not promised to any of us. Let's use this as a catalyst for living life to the fullest...telling those around us we love them and enjoying every moment. Im not paying my respects on here, but I just want to let everybody know how much of an inspiration you are to me. As a president, I wanted to follow in your footsteps. I wanted to be just like you in recruitement, in speech, and not being afraid of what everybody else might say or think. Every time I ask why a brother of gamma upsilon wanted to joined I phi, it was b/c of "YOU." You was the one to talk to them and you was the one who asked them to come kick it with you. I didn't know you that well, but I know that I kicked it with you a couple of times too. Not many people know, but we had a little conversation and you said that it was "MY JOB" to carry on the tradition. You are my inspiration and that's not gonna change. Through your words, you taught me alot, and for that, your purpose is surved, in this situation. As a friend, associate, and a brother, I respect that without you and another brother, we wouldn't be here. I think that God had a plan for you and your plan was to make a difference in the people's lives with your presence. I will pay my respects at your funeral, but til then RIP, my beloved founder.
