Cory Branan is a hell of a guy, he knows more about Ghostbusters
than you and writes songs that could make Chuck Lidell weep. Comparisons aside
I've personally seen Cory twice now and both times he shattered expectations.
This will be Cory's second trip to Joplin, the first one in mid January kind of blew
his mind (from what I hear). The Blackthorn was damn near capacity
and everyone was psyched. Cory's been on tour with the likes of Lucero,
Drag the River(ex members of ALLand Armchair Martian) and The Whipsaws(AK).
Cory has two full length albums and a seven inch under his belt that
have all recieved critical acclaim and landed himspots on the Late Show and on
countless podcasts and radio interviews.

Remember when you where a kid and there was that one porky kid in school who just didn’t fit in very well? But, he was also rich, at least richer than you, so he would use his allowance to buy stock in fruit rollups and nerf footballs. Knowing that it’s difficult to dislike someone who just gave you something, he would give his stuff away all willie nillie at recess or lunch. He would buy friendship. Do you remember when friendship was more valuable than money?
