Hello Niall. Cheers for the freinds acceptance. As usual, I like listening to your stuff. The one about the greasey spon touched me!
P.S At the Camberwell green end of cold harbour lane, there's a quality cafe near the Kings hospital, though I forget the name! Something "Rock"

Big up to you for the Ventriloquy - enjoyed the collection very much. Are you aware of the famous John Wilmot portait with the monkey - see http://www.npg.org.uk/live/eddisguise04.asp ??

Great meeting up with you too in London.
You may be interested in the exhibit I went to in Oxford that featured poetry based on science.

hey niall
hot, sizzly, full english breakfast of a performance at my gig in brighton a couple of saturdays ago. thank you so much for coming down. dan belton threw in the towel with poetry a long long time ago as he tends to have a severely cynical view of performance poets. however, i did manage to coax him out of retirement that day to belt out a few lines once more, and he was very glad to have seen you perform. he was spouting superlatives about you after you checked out of the joint. you can check out his take on the proceedings on my blog spot and you will also be able to admire a couple of beautific photos of your good self in action!
do come to brighton again!
all the very best,
miss mo x

Good to see you last night. A good job that Mr Parkes knows his anthologies from his collections. But the Portuguese poet I couldn't remember the name of, Fernando Pessoa, wrote using heteronyms, so could possibly have had either of the above?
If you haven't come across him:

FOURTEEN SHOWS, SIX POETS, ONE VAN…
… YES, IT’S GENERATION TXT
Following the success of acclaimed new poetry anthology Generation Txt, penned in the margins is taking the six gifted young poets featured in the book on a national tour to fourteen venues. Hand-picked from a nationwide search for writing talent, the poets include former Northern Young Writer of the Year Emma McGordon and celebrated performance poet Inua Ellams, as well as Joe Dunthorne, whose debut novel
Submarine
has just been snapped up by Hamish Hamilton. Natural Sciences graduate Laura Forman, creative writing student Abigail Oborne and experimental poet and text artist James Wilkes complete the bill.
Hailed by distinguished poet and critic Roddy Lumsden as 'a vital cross-section of the poetry that will progress and flourish' and by the TES as 'a creative ideas manual', the Generation Txt tour will be a must-see event for anyone interested in the future of literature.

Hi Niall,
Thanks for the add. I got into your poetry late last year, after seeing your faced-out book in Borders, Oxford Street. I picked it up and couldn't put it down again, so I bought it. The poems work really well on the page (the ultimate test, I guess): I love "Elvis Haircut"; "Intermission" and "Stock Footage" are favourites too.
All the best.
