There once was a songster named Haskins,

His music was ours for the askin'.

He'd croon us a tune,    ...Made our hearts swoon,

And now in the spotlight he's baskin'.



He delights us between songs with banter;

Charm pours from his finest decanter.

We drink up his charm,    ...That leaves our hearts warm,

We're tipsy; he's quite the enchanter!



Boy "Django" his parents did name him,

Book smarts and music became him.

Creativity soars,       ....The crowds, how they roar,

To hear TOC songs;  who can blame them?!



So play what you will for Asheville,

Then hurry on back to the Hill...

(We send birthday wishes,      ...Feed your ego  --ummm, delicious!)

To pen songs with keen wit and skill.

definitely lovin' it for now. It seems like I get into a lot of traveling adventures - especially this summer. Gotta head back to the east coast for sure though. I really miss it! I was thinking I needed to put myself on a plan to see and do everything I want and then head back. I like east coast people and culture a lot better. And I also miss the seasons and just the environment in general.
Hope your Thanksgiving was great! I was tickled pink for you to drop me a line!

thing's are going pretty smoothly as of late. School starts up in mid-August and I've got a lot of activities keeping me busy; Amos Lee is coming to town on Saturday (his spoken endorsement of you was my initial welcome mat to your tunes) but I'll unfortunately have to pass it up due to a promised performance for a wedding Up North.
After a recent gig, I had to forward some of your advice from the sessions to the rest of the band (how you should never ever play bits of the next song you're about to play as warm-up for the song). Even in my guitar lessons I teach to the kid next door will i find bits of info that you've soaked into my brain, so thanks immensely for that.
Any word or discussion on any mid-west excursions?
