I must admit I was petrified I might announce him wee Jon McFee.

I remember little of what Jon actually did but remember exactly I loved it. It was just this curious mix of highly engaging, poignant, humorous and often very touching anecdotes, poetry and song. He tried to abscond but we were having none of it, and by the time he had completed I was genuinely speechless and gave him a hug whilst I thought of something to say. I couldn't think of a thing.

Jon Nee had lifted the mood to a higher level, which the Brad Pitt light orchestra instantly picked up on, seamlessly turning it musical. It was music to fall in love to and I probably did, half a dozen times, whilst waltzing away to the finest sculptured rhythms and the beautiful lilting voices whilst giddy on the prose. Loved it. They are lovely people too.

It was a contented Ron that crashed in his tent that night.
