Betty Davis' got grooves! Damn.

So you ready for this? Eddie Henderson is a god of jazz and funk fusion.
Give it thirty seconds, vibes are smooth as fuck.

damn, ramsey louis' sound fuses jazz and funk perfectly. never heard him before. check out al howard and the k23 orchestra. i first met al howard at the same joint that i perform my poetry slams at. his shit is like acid jazz meets the spoken word. 1:15 is where the transition kicks up. definately give it a listen.

does that four track come with effects you can use before you loop or layer them? like sampling sections of other preexisting tracks? cause i've been interested in sampling certain sections of other tracks, and then looping them beneath whatever else i record, on top of that using effects like fading, backspinning, etc. do i make any sense? haha. let me know.

camilla

May 20, 2009 6:57 PM

dang. never heard of it, sounds pretty sweet. ill check that out.

so im pretty curious, what software/program do you use to record and layer/loop your music into tracks? ive been interested for a pretty long time in gettin somethin to record and layer tracks with. but i have no idea what to get or where to start or how much that shit is gonna cost.

love devotion surrender is such an amazing album. never heard roy gallagher or soft machine though. roy gallagher has a very original, classic vibe. i dig it. have you ever ozric tentacles? more spacey than psychedelic or jazz, but amazing transitioning and build up, definately check it out.

May 8, 2009 5:10 AM

damn, never heard john abercrombie before. i dig it. you should definately check out goblin. progressive italian band from the seventies, similar dark psychedelic vibe like john abercrombie, but a sound all on their own. massimo morante is one of my favorite guitarists. solo comes in around three minutes ... check them out

May 7, 2009 9:33 PM

damn, roy ayers is classy. funky, but smooth. you ever heard pat metheny? not as funky, but jazzy. and very smooth. definately gotta check him out. the intro is pretty mellow, then he shreds it.

camilla

May 2, 2009 7:36 PM

yes i have. from the bottom of my soul is one of my favorites. unkut funk, smedley smorganoff, and frantic moment are dope too. you ever checked out buckethead? cause if you dig eddie, you would definately dig buckethead.
camilla

May 1, 2009 8:46 PM

man, maggot brain. it speaks for itself.
his transitioning is so intense. when i listen to eddie hazel, its like i can feel what he felt when he was playin, you know? he's got such a raw sound
camilla

Apr 29, 2009 9:14 PM

very true. hendrix is definately an inspiration. but man, eddie hazel is my main muse.
but yeah, no official band yet, just lots of jammin'
camilla

Hey there,

Here's one from left field...

Ever wondered what to do in the event of a nuclear threat?

A while ago I found stuff that inspired me to make this film:

Living Under the Shadow of the Nuclear Umbrella

Both artistic (ensure you get the background music!) and educational, it primarily comprises official British government civil defence advice.

Though source materials are quite aged, much remains relevant today.

I encourage all to visit the YouTube page to learn more (Show support! Rate! Comment!) and responsibly circulate as widely as possible, here:

Help to raise awareness.

Say have you checked out my web site recently?

Take care and keep in touch.

Best,
Faber.

What up Ryan Scane

So I am been marinating on a album I did last year contemplating on how i should release the album truthfully I was going to press the album up but I decide to give this album as a free download. The Album Bitter Love Next Time is made up entirely of break up songs. I always want to make a theme album and I felt this was the best way to display my production. I hope you enjoy this album as it is perhaps my most personal album. I took the time to flip every track about 5-6 times. Its wintertime and if your lonely than this is your album for your bitter cold hearts, haha!
