jeez, i meant "tag" in a completely different way. How gay does that make you when your mind goes straight to anal penetration? I think you're both fagasexuals for eating wieners together, frankly.

Hey Jer,
I have band practice tonight, so I'm happy about that ! Otherwise, everything's ok. I hope all is well with you, too ! I saw "Return To Forever" in San Francisco, and the wasted 30 minutes with an acoustic set. I didn't pay $90 to see an acoustic set !!! Otherwise, they jammed.

I will complete my views about the Three October Meetings saying that Wolgang Fuchs didn't try to make that BIG impression playing fast and furious at dizzying speeds ( à la Alex Schlippenbach trio around 73 /77 or Cecil Taylor Unit or Evan P trio with Guy and Lytton) unlike some of his European colleagues. It is more a searching and questionnig attitude trying to build a coherent sound with focus on various layers of sound approaches. These approaches aiming at a certain quality of sound require to not play in a hurry with that BIG forceful sound seeming to be on the "edge".
Wolfgang did the same when he recorded a lp with Fred Van Hove and Paul Lytton in the mid eighties, "Wo der Kopf Zitst " on the SAJ label. I organised a concert of this trio in febr 1986 in Brussels. It was the first time we heard Fred Van Hove in a context of a post Han Bennink drummer after his departure of the almighty trio with Brötzm und Bennink around 1976. Fred WF and PL played sometimesat an incredible rate. MW Huon the great engineer ( Was It Me 1976 PoTorch) recorded the concert and I have the tapes copied on a cassette.
It contains impossible things to make on a piano. (Fred Van Hove has an incredible and uncopiable unorthodox hand technique which looks like crazy random). It is also one of the very last recording of Lytton with his old chinese drum kit (chinese drum only and big size bass drum)before the 1st tour with Evan in the US. I don't say about the furious pressure of the reed / mouth piece of Wolfy. But Wolfgang Fuchs is before all a sincere artist who wants to give to the listeners what himself considers to be the truth. So instead to have a long story (à la Van Hove) with volcanic interplay and montagnes russes , this SAJ albums contains miniatures and shorter tracks like in the Three October Stories cd. It is what you call artistic integrity. it would have been more appealing if the muscles were showed off !!
May I recall again that the s

dear visitorand myspacefriend,
May I recommand you this very nice recording Three October Meetings feat. Wolgang Fuchs , the great bass clarinet and sopranino sax improvisor, double bass explorer Damon Smith and Jerome Bryerton , a very dynamic and soulful percussionist ??
Balance Point Acoustics has produced a very rare recording because Wolfgang Fuchs is too underrecorded (if you compare with Butcher, Mc Phee, Lacy, Evan Parker, Gustafsson etc....). Also Fuchs has the greatest sound projection existing on the bass and contrabass clarinet and who is mastering the sopranino actually (?) . Not much people. Wolfgang Fuchs sopranino overtones are the highest this writer ever heard. The point is that both Damon Smith and Jerome Bryerton work very well in this recording , producing a very best interplay throughout all the pieces. So , you can buy it , that's collective contemporary improvisation of the highest order.
Jean Michel VS , the singer of SUREAU and writer in Improjazz magazine (France).
