The Niners and Alex Smith looked alot better than they did last year, and that's all you can ask for when a team is rebuilding
Take away that cheap unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Antonio Bryant in the 4th qtr, or if Sammy Davis comes up with that pick in the first quarter, it could have been a different story, but at least they're competitive now and have chances to win.
As the season goes on and this team gains experience, they'll start making those types of crucial plays, right now they are so young and inexperienced that they are struggling to find a way to win, they'll be alright though. Just be patient
