Ben	Sep 2, 2009 6:53 PM OK, so its taken a while but I've just sent the Seafood DVD off to be duplicated. Turned out pretty well and I think for any Seafood fans out there - it's worth owning - even if I do say so myself. The main feature is a 77min long video diary of the bands 2007 European Tour; loads of performances, exclusive acoustic numbers and a lot of f**king about in a tour van. Cahir from Fighting With Wire plays bass on the tour is an Irish clown. There are a sack of extras including all the outtakes, Dave being interviewed by Claire Kember and playing acoustically on Brighton's Juice FM, Seafood at Reading 1998, Paper Crown King Promos & these music videos: Led By Bison, Cloaking, Good Reason & Signal Sparks. There's even a brilliant re-make of the Signal Sparks video by Seafood fan Mat Evans. So... this DVD not only concludes Seafood's career but it is an end of an era for me. Having worked with the band for over 10 years, this DVD is the fruits of all that labour... Apart from the separate budgets for the music videos, the contents of this DVD were produced out of love. A rather misguided and abusive kind of love, but love none-the-less. So please buy a copy, I'm pretty sure you won't regret it! You will be able to order your copy over the clever tinternet from the SmallTown America Online Shop in just a few weeks time (http://www.smalltownamerica.co.uk/buy.php). It will cost you the princely sum of a tenner +p&p. I'll post again when I've got the link from STA. Just priming you folks.

Diverse palette of styles (post-rock, ambient, electronica, trip-hop, with elements of noise, dub, neoclassic and free improvisation), united by cinematic, slightly pensive mood. «Herbarium» is called so because of heterogeneity of «songs», which can be compared to miscellaneous leaves in the album, still being belonged to the family of trees. Trying to avoid non-alive metaphors here, only thought of diversity and warm and innermost feeling that herbarium is capable to conjure up. «... This leaf I picked up in the park where I met her, and this - I sat by the river, contemplating...». So tracks were created – one was captured in some magic jam, another – recorded layer by layer and meticulously mixed then, next – cut from previous sessions and so on. All compositions are united by Poostosh sense of music – mostly pensive, spatial, tender and experimental. There's a lot of soul and charisma in every leaf... So please let your soul look over our HERBARIUM.
