Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my new erotic horror novel THE 13TH is now in stores everywhere! I hope you'll check out this debauched and demonic horror ride!
There's even a website devoted just to the book, with an interactive map of the places and characters at www.the13th-horror.com.
Edward Lee called THE 13TH "A double-barreled shotgun blast of macabre entertainment -- an expert amalgamation of grotesquerie, eroticism, mystery, and pitch-black occult horror that no fan of the genre can miss."
And Gary A. Braunbeck said, "John Everson's The 13th is the first out-and-out horror novel in a long while to actually scare the **** out of me while reading it. It's stylish, extremely well-written, filled with richly-drawn characterizations, and boasts a labyrinthine plot worthy of Umberto Eco. Trust me -- this one will fry your nerves and break your heart."

Hi! Just wanted to make sure all my friends know that my 2nd horror novel SACRIFICE was released this month - and is in stores everywhere, including Amazon.com. I hope you'll check out the book! Here are a couple reviews it's gotten:
“SACRIFICE is not for the timid or weak of heart, it is a full frontal assault on your senses. It is a dark, brutal, bloody and terribly frightening book. Everson went deep into some dark abyss to bring this book to the light of day.... I highly recommend Sacrifice.”
—Famous Monsters of Filmland
“John Everson manages in SACRIFICE to dispense buckets of blood, provide edgy perversity, and walk the tenuous tightrope of horror and sex without falling: It’s rather an amazing feat.” –Hell Notes

thanks for checking the new songs, i always wonder if anyone's listening to them but me....
i'm guessing 'eyrie street' would be the new name for the track i gave you recently? before it was called 'rat strip', which was one of those working title type things that then threaten to stick around forever... i don't think that title really fitted the track though, so i shall have to find another home for it yet... a strip of a rat, a strip of rat...
anyway thank you very much for letting me on board. let me know when the project drops and i'll promote it till promotion literally drips from my eyes.

I think that the ones who create those things are probably really sinister people.
Oh dear. I have an intense love of cuckoo clocks. That worries me a little. XD
There's something of a vicious cycle going on in the way of childhood fears. A lot of adults are responsible for making their children want to sleep with the lights on. I wonder why we do it. I myself have been responsible for scaring a child or two, and we try to use the excuse that it 'builds character,' but really, it doesn't. I think it's human nature to want to cause them some sort of emotional distress.

Ah see, it's these flashes of brilliance that identifies you as a writer. I can't wait to pick up one of your books.
I think that the personal monsters that we have are the most memorable and most terrifying. Did you ever notice that the personifications of things were sometimes the most horrifying to us as children? I couldn't stand those cat clocks with the moving eyes. My mother's twin had one and it was in her kitchen. Sometimes I'd try to sit in the kitchen alone and stare at the clock to face my fear, but I'd always eventually get up and run into the living room. I tried to convince myself that the reason the cat's eyes moved was because it was avoiding me. I wanted to believe that it was as afraid of me as I was of it. But in the back of my head, the real idea remained: I believed that it was searching for me. I thought that the seat in the kitchen gave me a cloak of invisibility, but a very fragile one. If I moved too much, the shield would break and the clock would fix its eyes on me. And once it new my face, I thought it would come for me.
Everyone talks about wanting to be a child again, but I don't think I'd want to be. There were too many scary things that were never explained. I thought that adults just couldn't see them. Of course it just turned out that it was something so irrational that they didn't bother explaining to me why it shouldn't be scary.

Eric Wyatt....does he have a myspace? I'd like to hear some of his music. That's great that he's getting somewhere!
Beautiful women in a stupor....who walk off into a forest and never come back...because there's a tribe of Sasquatch living in the woods who sensed their fertility and lured them in with their haunting cry....so there's a massive Sasquatch/woman orgy and they have hairy little babies.
....
I read in a book somewhere that Sasquatch would rape women if they were fertile. D:

I guess I have something else to add to my Christmas list....and I hope I can send it to you for an autograph once I do get my own copy!

I'm pretty sure I was wondering whether or not my grandfather was still home, haha.
But really, I was in a strange mood the entire weekend, one that I don't experience too often. It was one of those feelings that doesn't have a name. I was walking around in a stupor for two days and took that picture. It sort of captures that feeling, I think.
