One of them is based in L.A. & is heard from Northridge to San Pedro, & Eagle Rock to the ocean, and worldwide on an HD stereo streaming webcast. It is a public radio station, named last year as "The Best of L.A." by Los Angeles Magazine. And since it is public radio, it does not generate income from advertising, but relies on support from its listener base. Many of you who read these posts have been played on this station, and some of you have sold CDs as a result. Some of you have played LIVE on air & some of you even listen to the broadcast or webcast on Saturday mornings. If you would like to support the voice of the indie community on the airwaves, you’ll have the chance this Saturday, May 12th, between 6-10 AM. Why so early? That's when "Tied to the Tracks" airs. That’s the show you'll be supporting, and the station management credits pledges to whatever show is on the air when the call arrives. Think about it. There is great competition for airtime in Los Angeles, and management continually receives proposals for new shows (that means shows that would replace what’s on now). One by one, 5 praisable men stepped up, Offering their life, they detached to re-attach, to re-create, And made faith and commitment their wife, To this day they we remember them as the '5 beloved ones' The same ‘5 beloved ones’ that sacrificed themselves for their people! Them same ‘5 beloved ones’ who were a representation of the people! And stood by the people, and for the people! And by this, they showed a beautiful gesture of unity, In the Land of 5 Rivers, a beautiful community, And by this beautiful act, they got blessed with forever immunity, Close your eyes, and have a true moment of true contemplation, As they still walk with courage love and determination, They still walk side by side with the Khalsa Panth/ Collective/ Nation, The Khalsa will continue to persevere!
