Here's a great video caught by Phil
Mitchell. I wasn't aware that he was in the audience capturing this
with his camera.

In the beginning of this video, I'm introducing my homemade Nobro
resophonic guitar that I built from recycled garage sale junk and
explaining some of the items that I used in its construction. Then, I
offer my bottleneck slide interpretation of an old blues song,
"Brownsville Blues" or "Goin' T' Brownsville" to listeners attending
open mic night at Old Strokers Cafe in beautiful downtown Everett, WA.

Enjoy!

What is TTWD Fest?

TTWD is an all day music festival held at the Old Gilliam Mill Park outside of Sanford, NC on August 8, 2009. The park is a replica of a 19th century grist mill, and it is a great place to see music. Bands play in an amphitheatre style setting on a stage that looks like the front porch of an old shack. It has sort of an “Austin City Limits” feel. There are campsites with electricity, running water, bathrooms, and showers. There is also a full kitchen onsite, and food and beverages will be provided by Bella Bistro.

Point your GPS to 4613 Carbonton Rd, SANFORD, North Carolina 27330 (This is the closest physical address to the park which is on Hwy 42 W / Carbonton Road in between Wakefield Road and Pickard Road and off of US Hwy 1 just south of Hwy 421.)

We are a non-profit, listener supported radio show, dedicated to local regional indie music (rock is represented well, but other genres, too) live steaming Sundays Noon-1pm Eastern time on WCOM 103.5 FM, a community focused radio station in Carrboro, NC (the cooler side of Chapel Hill, who some refer to as The Paris Of The Piedmont)!

So, if you are a N. Carolina based band (& VA, SC, TN, MY, GA etc. or just traveling through, playing in our area often) who would like to be considered for a live, in-studio interview, email us at: joeslocalshow@gmail.com and please forward your recorded tracks on cd, to our WCOM (a MySpace friend) studio / earmarked for our show would be best.

We want to hear your music, for airplay send a CD to:

There is uneccessary suffering taking place in puppy mills.
Senate bill 460, supported by the HSUS, will help offer some standards of operation for commercial breeder businesses.

Please come to Raleigh this coming Tuesday, July 21,
and help lobby for the puppy mill dogs. They are voiceless.
9 am sharp. Meet at the legislature...front entrance. 16 W. Jones St.

We will be gathering for a walk to the Senators' offices...
one by one, in support of the Puppy Mill bill.
Your help is sorely needed.
The only paid lobbyist ordinary citizens have working for them is the HSUS state director.
How about lending your hand?
There are 30 paid lobbyists for the opposition that have battled less than professionally to kill this bill. The opposition includes AKC, NRA and Pork Council. They are attacking HSUS. To date the plan has been to lobby for the bill quietly and one on one.

But now we need you to show up at the legislature.
PLZ FWD THIS INFO!
