Indeed, it says a lot about one's personality!!
I re-read mine a couple of times on your page and what I saw was someone with a tendency towards indecisiveness and looking too deep into things, so deep that the negative sides tend to take the overhand.
This is a work in progress, J! ;-)

I would miss the daylight too and I have always had a soft spot for wolves...

Yes, no sex....that would be a bummer...;-)

Have a good weekend!

Hey Jeremy!

This is a difficult one since I am fascinated by both! But I have to pick one, right;-)
The werewolf would be my choice since I would be looking normal most of the month, have access to extra-human strength and senses, the connection to the moon and the ability to shape shift.  Negative side to this would be that I would not be able to control my animal nature and when to shape shift as I would be driven by sheer natural stimulae.
That bothers me a bit.  And perhaps there the vampyre would come in a bit handier since as a human he should be able to control him/herself or at least have the ability to do so and grow as a vampyre...Bram Stoker's Dracula is interesting in this aspect, I like the human aspects still being very present and portrayed...there is still the option to chose ....or so it seems...
LIke I said this is a tough one...

Sandra

I'd have to be a werewolf. If I wanted to be a bloodsucker I'd have studied law.

How fair it comes, the wonderful hour
When nature from sleep awakes,
And over the face of the earth at last
A newborn gladness breaks!
The stars grow pale in the shadowy sky,
And over the mountains creep
The mists that are part of the waking world,
And part of the earth's sweet sleep.
The restless birds in the tree-tops high
Are shaking their wings at last,
And chirp, and twitter their songs of praise,
As the dawn comes on so fast.
But who can tell of the wondrous charm,
When over the distant hills
The day's bright king in his glory comes
And the earth with radiance fills?
Now scatter, ye mists, from the mountain-side,
And die in the sky's soft blue;
For the dawn has passed, and the day is here,
With its light and joy so true.

I like the way you connect the concept Lucifer to the Jungian 'shadow'.
It's interesting to see how people see and use it as it is different for everyone.

I believe that Satan/Lucifer is both a conscious force/entity that can be tapped into AS WELL AS a concept to align oneself with.  Take any historical figure as an example: You have someone who is a conscious entity, but who also has a set of ideals and beliefs that they push forward in this world (beliefs that people rally behind and align themselves with). Obviously, the major difference within the examples provided is that any historical figure is a being like you and me, and the concsious Satanic force at work is a sort of metaconcsiousness (see also The Omega Point).

A couple of books I'd recommend, if you would like to read some more about the Satanic/Luciferian Current are "The Lucifer Principle" by Howard Bloom, "Postmodern Satanism" by Jason King, and lastly, The Dao of Satan" by Jason King (forthcoming).

Hey Jeremy!
To answer your question, well I consider Lucifer to be a concept.  He may be an entity to others but for me he's not.  To me he represents enlightenment, or should I say it;-)
Even if I would work with an entity I would still perceive it as energy.
I'm just not the worshipping type.

Hi J,

With regards to your quest "What's more real? Our waking life or the dreams we have when we are asleep?"

I would have to say neither! Our waking life is simply a perception of what actually "is" and our dreams are a kaleadascope of everything our conscious minds miss.

Nice question tho.

I believe that they do exist in some form all the time, just as physical objects exist in the waking world while we sleep.

Yes, this brings something to my attention...I once read something about a conceptual reality where everything already is in existence.  But how do we know to label the chair as a chair...if the concept of the chair already exists than how do we become aware of it simultaneously.  It would make sense regarding the invention of something...tapping into this conceptual reality.  I need to give this some more thought ...
The Garden of Silence

Nov 5, 2009 6:05 PM

When you say that the subconscious passes you information while you dream, this sounds like you don't consider the subconscious as a part of "you", but simply communicating with "you."

I do see it as part of me but this brings up something that I've become aware of more and more while observing myself and that is that I am only a fraction aware of the whole of me.  So the subconscious passing information on to me with that I mean that the part of me that is not fully aware when I am awake can be contacted through dream time since our ego is not active during dream time and we are much more receptive of others parts of SELF.
The last comment you made about the Great Work is interesting...do elaborate on that if you will!
The Garden of Silence

Nov 5, 2009 4:59 PM

What is more real? Our daily life or dream time?
Well, it depends on what you define as 'real'...real is what you accept for yourself to be your truth, meaning what is real for you may not be real for others.  Then there is such a thing as general accepted reality...there is something in front of me called a chair and we all agreed that that is a chair. Is it really a chair? Don't know if I wanna go down that road today;-)
Your question was, what is more real, daily life or dream time.
Daily life is real to me since it is what I experience, perceive, sense, smell, taste, ... but it is on the other hand 'real' because I 'accept' it as 'real'.  I think one could not accept and in that sense 'change' what is real.
Dream time is very real to me too.
Why? Because my subconsious passes information on to me in dream time, guising it in something that I can connect with, and trying to tell/teach me something.
You can learn just as much from real life as dream time, as long as you are aware of it.
It's only a shame I can't just yet be fully aware of all my dream time activity.
Sometimes the awareness of the activity is immense and sometimes nil.
Perhaps none of it is real and it is all just a game ... a spirit in bodily existence....dreaming and creating and being...not aware of the game;-)

Well Halloween is not such a big thing here.  We have carnaval instead which is also about costumes and dressing up but it takes place in February and is more connected to the religious calendar in a way since it takes place before fastening.
Mind you, the religious connection is as good as gone, to most people it is all about carnaval parades with dressed up people and having lots of fun and candy.
It's a bit like the German kind of carnaval parades perhaps that rings a bell?
I like the Halloween tradition better though since it is more related to 'the veil becoming thinner and spirits being able to cross over that sort of thing...'
I had one group of kids that rang the door bell, just one, so that says it all I guess.
And yes, I gave them a treat;-)
That ceremonial thing you did sounds interesting, what is it about exactly?
