Christmas Promise
12 December 2009

My promise, my hope,
my love, on Christmas Day
To hold your heart next to mine,
All candles burning in flame

My blessed heart, your love
So happy to be alive
At last God came through
My shoulder and yours in love

At last God answered my prayer
a prayer for you to be at my side
Bring my smile to you in hope
The word of love in one dream

Because, because, you are
who I will always love
My hand upon your heart,
my love to be forever
and never to part

Because, because, you will
only be, who you are
The love, Christmas
has promised me

My blessed heart, your love
So happy to be alive
At last God came through
My shoulder and yours in love

To look to those in hope,
to look in faith, and know
Your eyes in heaven’s beauty,
an empowerment of the soul

Never silent, never alone,
a Christmas promise to live and dream
Born this day, like fluid from a stream,
with blood and breath to breathe

My promise, my hope,
my love, on Christmas Day
To hold your heart next to mine,
All candles burning in flame

My blessed heart, your love
So happy to be alive
At last God came through
My shoulder and yours in love

At last God answered my prayer
a prayer for you to be at my side
Bring my smile to you in hope
The word of love in one dream

Thanks, dear Liz!!
Yes, you are right. The quality of the audience is more important than quantity. But in this case it was a door gig. :-S

But - of course - playing "My Funny Valentine" for Karen-Sue feels fantastic!! ;-)

Hi my dear Liz,
at least yesterday night I had an opportunity to make music again: Jazz standards on piano in duo with the great bassist Michael Hauser. I always enjoy playing with him very much. Unfortunately there was only a very small audience. But my love Karen-Sue was at the Blue Note club too. She was enough audience to make "sweet music" as you say.

Have a wonderful day, my AAWIW !!
Lovely greetings

Marhaba is an Arabic word used in the Middle East as a greeting (in English Hello).
The origin of the word comes from Aramaic, the old Syrian language of Jesus Christ.
It is a combination of two words: MAR + HABA
MAR, meaning God, Lord or Master.
HABA, meaning Love.
So, Marhaba means "God is Love".

Marhaba Elizabeth
May you celebrate the love of God deep within your heart as Jesus brings new meaning to life... Joy, Hope, Peace... because His love is eternal.
May His eternal love shine upon you always!

The kids at the pizza shop would make a couple pizzas just before their closing time...oops; they would have fresh, left-over pizza. They knew we would be there after the gig so had the good stuff waiting! They would wear our band's tee shirts at work.

Hi Elisabeth,

Just had a listen at all your songs, while i was making fresh soup...mmm...soup.
Anyway....I don't understand how you and your great band, are not worldfamous.
You guys have great songs, perfect professional tunings, great vocals, etc.....
I do hope that one day you'll get the chance to brake thru.
You're much to good to be unknown in the world. Thanks there is MySpaceMusic.
It's a great way to make our music worldwide....And for free !
Well i realise, the music-business is not what it used to be like many years ago.
That's to bad...They don't dare to take any risk's anymore. It's to much big business these days.
Yeah, if you're not into the popular music scene, it's hard to live from music only.
But, i'm glad i'm honest with myself and make music as a peace of my soul...It's art !

Greetings,

Johan

In this old world that we live in
There is one great joy that everyone can share,
The joy of giving to the
People for whom we care;
If you show love in small ways
It is always there.
To be giving and forgiving
Is to know the reason why we're living.
What's so hard about giving?
It's a perfectly simple art
The trick is to live with love from the start
And to give with an open heart.

Dear Elizabeth,
May your Christmas be as special and unique as you are!

Hi Elizabeth,

Thank you for the gift of your music.

As Christmas approaches I would like to wish you and your family a very special Festive celebration.

"Beautiful is the moment in which we understand that we are no more than an instrument of God; we live only as long as God wants us to live; we can do only as much as God makes us able to; we are only as intelligent as God would have us be."
Archbishop Oscar Romero, from his last homily, March 23, 1980.

I hope you like my Christmas card and poem and additional card / pictures.
May your love “glow.”

Paul.
X

“Candle in the window.”

“A light as pure as an Angels Glow
A gentle breeze sparks a flickering light to Heavens Path.
Through the open window flies a brown majestic Moth
He dances round the table cloth
Fluttering flirtatiously enticed to the flame
Like water to a cloud and flowers in the rain.

An aura of starlight
Glowing embers of radiance so clear
You take away the darkness
The hopelessness, the fear.

Calming, graceful, romancing, dancing on the window sill
A light for my memories
Inspiration for my dreams
A candle by the open window
God Bless the Grace you give me
A moment so serene.”

Yes - one of the rare occasions. That valve trombone smiled at me in a music shop and I bought it. Then I noticed that it's hard to play with mustache. So - no mustache no more *g*(a hard decision at that time - but I never had to repent it).
And the ear is trained to press certain valves when hearing certain notes in the head to play them - that octave-shifting drove me nuts.
After a time I also experienced that my whole embouchure was affected - trumpet or trombone was the decision.
I decided to keep to the trumpet - now the valves of the trombone are stuck very likely. LOL. I also had a flugelhorn for a year - but it was the same problem and I kept the trumpet :)
You ever tried other variations of brass ?

Hi, my dear friend,
I'm trying to choose your best tune on your player...
and I'm very confused, because all of them are beautiful, fine & touching!!!
Sometimes they have easier harmonics progressions; other more sofisticated progressions, but ALWAYS TOUCHING!!!
Now, I'm understanding why you are showing just the great Pat Metheny.
Have a great weekend!!!
God bless you.
