As the bus slowed down at the crowded bus stop, the Pakistani bus conductor leaned from the platform and called out, "Six only!" The bus stopped. He counted on six passengers, rang the bell, and then, as the bus moved off, called to those left behind: "So sorry, plenty of room in my heart - but the bus is full." He left behind a row of smiling faces. It's not what you do, it's the way that you do it. ~The Friendship Book of Francis Gay, 1977

Jimmy T,
Where are my FFPs?
I keep going over there with a fist full of dimes and... nothin'.
Say, what am I supposed to do with these dimes anyway? Are they to slip in your g-string or to toss like birdseed as you read?

The Police were awesome, weren't they? I saw them in Vancouver at the kickoff of this tour and the dress rehearsal the night before.
Of course, you'll always be in my Top 38. Would be more if you didn't disappear so often!

So, what - are you too old to play with me now?
Or are you waiting for me to write a clever manual telling you how the MyControls work on this thing?
Excellent FFP - those people love you - I could hear the chairs turning over when they gave you a standing ovation!

You know, they've got a name for people like you.
People who don't wait for trouble to land on their doorstep but rather venture out into the world in search for it, people who think they can make a difference and take the steps to prove it...

That's what you are buddy, my favorite hero and a great big inspiration.

Well, I'm going to HAVE to read this book now and it's all your fault. Can Elizabeth handle such combative fans?
I'll pick it up after I finish Augusten's Possible Side Effects, Gaskell's North and South, and EM Forster's Howards End. So many books, so little time...
