We are always ready to defend the person place of thing to which we are givin our worship & adoration. The Greatest idol that we adore, untill God removes it, is the idol of self in our human heart..... Before I go on bout this let me give you the defind the word "worship" it mean to adore & to give ur devotion, which means to love deeply & to be committed to which you givin your worship to. Poof of this is seen in the defensive reactions we have when our idol of self is mistreated, attacked, criticized. How quickly we feel sorry for our self & descend into a pit of depression! An artist like you can be the catalyst needed to bring Christian rap into the mainstream. I hate the fact that BET plays Christian rap on Sundays only. There is nothing inherently sinful with rap, you can praise the lord with it. People need the truth and they need the truth to reach them. Gospel already has lots of people to reach out, but young people don't listen to gospel. With your skills as a rapper you could reach out and draw young people in. And if you preach about Christ and positive things you can be that positive witness for them. I doubt you can reach gangsters with gospel. I know you said And the world loved my music. That's how you know it wasn't of God. but I don't think that's true. It means your music was quality. Don't conform your message to the world. The fact that it has a beat and you rap doesn't make it of the world. Man made gospel music. Man made rap. A man can sing a gospel type song and fill it with bad messages. A man can rap for the glory of Christ. Think about it.
