Claire, your picture is so much how i feel these days (in the last month) because i want to curl up, and also cuz my feelins, if the feelings were to be perceived to another this very moment, this perceiver would first feel very disoriented, and feel fog, then ice, and then see the way you are positioned in the picture. it is not about the range enclosing you, rather that you have given up any direction except self-enclosure. i too want to wrap myself up so that anybody who looks at me may think i cannnot be broken because i am hugging myself. not that your pictures suggests anything about brokenness; rather the opposite. i just want to curl up. there are many times i do not want to stretch or show motion and yet that is all people see...
Anyway, so I Miss you capital M and your insight. Are you writing anything interesting?

I stood on a chilly street corner late at night, using a cracked payphone to check my messages. An old woman and an older man stepped out of the coffee shop holding hands. The stood next to me, unaware of me, and held each other.

I was thinking it was beautiful to see such love.

Then they started making out, hands in each others hair, slightly losing their balance, smiling, giddy.

I cherish your letter(s). Thanks for your response. I think you blend sincerity and wisdom in a very calming/soothing way. It's true, I am basing this on words, but I sense that you are one of the least bitter people I've corresponded with in a while- and as you might guess, that is a very good thing for the receiver. Will write more later.. Hope we get a chance to talk (on the phone maybe? or not.) And I would love to see you sometime.
