Estamos a chegar ao fim de mais um ano e a época natalicia vai promovendo o capitalismo e o consumismo, pelo menos para os que vão podendo. Altura de lavar consciencias e de "ajudar o proximo"... E é no ambito do espirito de natal que os Ervas Daninhas irão ter durante todo o mês de Dezembro e até ao fim do ano mais um tema que faz parte do EP que está para sair brevemente, o tema tem por titulo "Escravo do Prazer" e apela ao prazer, ao sexo e ao amor. Explodão de prazer e façam-se viver!! Aproveitamos também para deixar agradecimentos especiais a todos os que nos têm ajudado e apoiado neste e noutros anos. Já podem escutar o revisitado tema "BAR DA GNR", tema nº 2 do EP e que precede às "GUITARRAS DE GUERRA". Este tema já com alguns anitos lavou a cara e foi gravado no inicio de 2009 com novos arranjos, mantendo no entanto todo o carisma que vez dele um dos hinos dos ERVAS DANINHAS. Durante 20 dias, mais ou menos, vão poder entrar no "BAR DA GNR" e buer uma cervejola e morfar uma entremeada e até mesmo apanhar uma carraspana sem ficarem de cana... Dêm gás no volume e acordem os vizinhos... pelo menos aqueles que dormem a sesta ao Domingo à tarde. O "BAR DA GNR" contou com a presença de dois convidados muito especiais, foram eles o Igor e o Arroja dos SHIVERS, que por entre copos de binho e assaltos à sacristia ainda tiveram tempo para uma ida à Sela... ops, desculpem o erro... uma ida à cela. When I was in Africa a couple of decades ago, I camped for a stretch in the territory of a lion pride comprising 3 males, 10 females and 22 cubs. The 3 pride-males, named Agamemnon, Achilles and Hector (AAH), were about 6 years of age and very much in their prime. Their 22 cubs were thriving under their protection - protection against predators, and the coalition of four 4-year-old prideless bachelors, who had been loitering in the neighborhood. Due to the superior fighting prowess of AAH, they had been kicking the butts of the Gang of Four (GOF), so far. If the GOF drove out or killed AAH, they would kill all their cubs so that the lionesses would have cubs bearing their genes. AAH would be able to repel GOF for another couple of years, which was a fairly stable long term scenario in lion terms. What was unforeseen was that a trophy hunter killed Achilles. Now with only Agamemnon and Hector holding the fort, they were no match for the GOF. Valiantly, AH tried to defend their offspring, but it was a matter of fighting to the last cub before they both were killed. The 10 lionesses became the spoils of war. And so, a new leonine dynasty was born. But through it all, 25 lives were loss, all due to one single bullet fired by one egomaniacal trophy hunter. Shame on Safari Club International! v0d3	Aug 22, 2009 1:55 PM I've been busy in my head and while in there came across the following idea for an artwork. The artwork is a 'terracotta'-army with a sign asking everyone to paint, draw, write, etc. on it. The 'terracotta'-army would be formed by 36 c.44" plaster statues. The figure is stylistically pop-art representation of a girl. These statues are laid onto a shallow dig of rectangular shape measuring c.6mx11m. The idea is that the mold used to manufacture the plaster statues would be available free to order from the internet. We, anyone who is interested in contributing to the project, then try to spread this 'terracotta'-army across the globe creating an artwork of a global scale. Não é uma novidade, o Avante! já o noticiou há semanas com base em dados oficiais do PE relativos a Março. Estas contas são agora confirmadas pelo site parlorama.eu. Basta entrar neste site, seleccionar Portugal na janela dos países e logo surge Ilda Figueiredo à frente da classificação dos 26 deputados portugueses.[...] Mais surpreendente é sem dúvida o nível de desempenho dos deputados do PCP no conjunto dos 926 deputados dos 27 países da UE. Nesta enorme lista, Ilda Figueiredo (CDU) classifica-se em 11.º lugar, destacadíssima em relação aos deputados portugueses de outros partidos. Paulo Casaca (PS) aparece em 24.º lugar, seguindo-se Pedro Guerreiro (CDU) em 40.º lugar. Nos primeiros 100, estão ainda Ana Gomes (PS), (45.º lugar), e Jamila Madeira (PS), (75.º lugar). Para vermos outro nome português é preciso esperar até ao 185.º lugar onde está Elisa Ferreira, e em 200.º lugar, Carlos Coelho (PSD). AnthonyAnthony Marr	Jun 30, 2009 7:00 PM For 30 years, Jan Haagensen has been harassed and her farm in PA invaded with impunity by hunters, and her NO HUNTING signs and fences repeatedly torn down. 10 years ago, she had had enough, and approached the trespassing hunters to ask them to leave, and asked a hunter engaged in illegal hunting to cease and desist. When a hunter threatened to shoot her and her mother, she called police, which sided chummily with the hunters, and later charged her with 5 counts of "hunter harassment". The "kangaroo court" convicted her on all 5 counts. Being an attorney, she appealed to the appellate court and won, and is now challenging the PA Hunter Harassment Statute in federal court as being unconstitutional for inhibiting free speech and violating property rights. If she wins, doors will be open for challenging the equally unconstitutional Hunter Harassment laws of other states. He is the founder of the Vegetarian Information Service in 1976 and the Farm Animals Reform Movement (FARM) in 1982.
