we think that moths are linguistically challenged because, when under normal conditions, we don't hear them speak. however, in the sense of grammar-rules being separate from spoken language (think sign language) and the apparently inborn tendency for human minds to settle upon such grammar rules after a few years of waddling about the earth, my hope was to raise a moth in isolation from any fellow moths and thus stunt any hitherto unknown similar propensity among the moth clan from impressing itself upon said young moth's impressionable mind. however there are a few problems : 1) the baby moth would be a caterpillar, which would mean he might eat my clothes. well, i guess i wouldn't mind a hole here and there in my t-shirts - sharing the wealth, as it were. 2) i could never verify that my moth would be, in fact, linguistically challenged as a result of my method of raising it. 3) moths have such long tongues, all rolled up. actually this has everything to do with eating and nothing to do with linguistics, but thats ok. i dont mind embracing nonsequiturs for the sake of the serenity-inducing pleasure of listing 3 problems. Three is a nice number.

Those are worthy items. I haven't received mine, and I'm pretty certain I'm supposed to have, but that's alright, because I don't want anymore fake printed money in circulation here--either through well-intentioned socialistic governmental programs or money going overseas to fund imperialistic wars.
Indian cuisine? Oh, Suzanne!
There was an indian guy sitting right next to me in Cell and Molec that smelled just like my favorite indian food...like he still had the spices on him from breakfast. I was thinking, "Lucky!"
According to my professor Dr. Bergel, the indian spice Tumerac has HDACs and HATs inhibitors (proteins) in the nuclei
that help unfold DNA for damage repair. A study was conducted with Hela cells and regular cells, in which the HDACs and the HATs inhibitors were applied, and it showed to actually repair the regular cells to a condition of a better state of functioning than it was to begin with, as well as allowing for better repair with the Hela cells.
Right now in cell and molec we're covering exonuclease activity of DNA Pol I, II and III (in the 3'-5' direction), which is a form of proofreading. Polymerases are like a 3-in-1 enzymatic properties deal! They polymerize (in the case of replication), they excise mismatched nucleotides, and they protect, by matching the correct bases together, which also ensures the angle of the bases between the DNA is at the proper angle.
Fascinating, neh?
But yeah. I love indian spices. So how's the Ender in Exile book coming? That was an ebay bid that I didn't win, as now I'm showing no record of that in my gmail...so I've bid on another one of the hardbacks (either again, or for the first time) today.
Ttyl chica!!

i have decided after the fact that instead of abandoning the english language, i was actually using it to say the phrases "is done with his evening walk" and "footsore", except that i MASSIVELY mis-spelled each phrase :^)

But Then it said on youtube that I was breaking copyright laws because I was using unathorized music, and they had muted my videos.

I am, in fact. There's a man by the name of Jack Diamonds (whom I originally found on Py Kim's videos, author of "Sex Secrets of an American Geisha"), and I suppose you can call him an unofficial pickup artist. He is extremely thorough at understanding women. We wrote a few letters back and forth several years ago as I playfully questioned what it was like to be a "male whore". :) To my surprise (and delight), he did try some "techniques" on me, via letter (without knowing where I knew him from). I recently discovered the private blogs he shared with me to be missing from his archives, along with an original video on "The Approach" (approaching and initiating conversation with a woman of choice, whom one hasn't yet met). He may be writing his own book on the subject. I'll have to write him again. You might have deduced that that's not his birth name, but since he chose it and uses it (like I've made my married last name legal) I think of it legitimately. He's one of many I like studying the behavior and mindframe of. He (and I, I suppose) see making individual women feel special simultaneously without the others feeling jealous (a general sense of love) as understanding humanity. He's good at creating polyamorous group relationships, and I find that quite interesting, albeit unorthodox to most tacit expectations of society.
Here are some of his
photos
.
Sweet! Thank you for the recommendation. I will see what I can do in renting The Pickup Artist later! (And add it to my list of things to review.).
What have you been up to Miss Suzanne?

Omg! I don't need another addiction! Are you kidding me?
I went to a BJD wholesaler website...and
immediately
had to close the browser because the dolls were so fascinating, and I when I get into addictive art like this it tends to affect my grades! I can already tell it's a whole genre of rare inspirational handiworks that I will desire and not rest until it's in the mail, and on its way! haha
You really are getting me addicted into this whole Japanese doll world, aren't you?
And see! That is exactly it! You've given me yet one more reason to start a collection--I absolutely ADORE Japanese themes and decorate that way in my home!
I'm already picturing a round glass case with multiple levels, lol. :) And surface-mounted directional lights.
Now I feel like I have this guilty pleasure just waiting to be discovered and hidden in this spilling closet chest I keep trying to close...it does give me a semblance of treat to look forward to indulging this weekend. :)
*slaps hand* No! Quit that, Suzanne!

I didn't realize the compact ones would be so bendable, and soft!
I'm enchanted by the miniature house she was in, as well.

A good shampoo...Mmmmmmm-hm! ;-)
You know that saying that the lamest excuse ever for a woman to break a date is to take a shower so she can shampoo her hair instead?
Yeah. I've totally done that.
Granted, it was more like...doing it because I wanted to look nice *before* the date and didn't have enough time, and I did want to look spiffy for it. So it ran into the time.
Or I canceled. Yeah I'm a repeat offender.

I do the same thing with Accounting. I have to literally get myself into the mode of saying, "MY" Accounting class. Saying the word "my" suddenly helps me realize how much more responsible I am for it. And then...I sigh and accept it. :)
Accounting is a class, like your ballet class, that I don't have to take, (it's not required for my major) but yet I want to, because I plan on having my own Neurophysiology practice, and I think honestly that every person should have a good, workable understanding of Accounting.
Our economy is in dire straits I believe due to people not understanding Accounting principles. And people who don't fight the establishment of the Federal Reserve Bank while relying on the credit industry.

You don't claim it yet eh? Come on! Call it your class! You can do it! :) If I were you I would try it at least several more times, and if you really don't want to after that then of course (in my mom's words) you don't *have* to, but even if it's advanced for starting with, I would learn all I could from the instructor. Even the toughest instructor can at the very least be learned from.
She will warm up to you and be glad of your persistence, improvement, the fact that you're not even a dance major but give your best (just because you want to learn!) and do all practice "homework".
Do they require you to have a notebook with french terminology?
I think it gets easier from personal experience at Friends University taking ballet, after the first tough initial learning spike.
It's understandable though...I felt the same way at first. We had a teacher named Miss Sharon who had this ludicrous idea that "swans never sweat". Apparently, she never received AFAA certification which (as part of the certification) teaches aerobics instructors that the sooner one begins to sweat, (according to pore size of course) the more in shape that person is. But then later I was just chosen to be in her Nutcracker Ballet. So I'm pleased to have experienced her eventual "claim" of me.
Also...some people just naturally oversweat--it can be overcome however by Botulinuum toxin (the can food bacteria also used in Botox), which paralyzes the muscle.
Yes, that's a tidbit sweat tangent from Neuroanatomy I thought you might find interesting.
:)
