And then there's a a sense of humor, comforting in its subtle brashness, like one would experience in a casual afternoon conversation with a close-knit group of educated lesbians, holding open the fire door with your foot to let the breeze pass through the apartment complex where the air conditioning has gone out. Too much detail? perhaps... but that's where I'm at.
