Is getting published increasingly hard? Or, are the rules just changing?

Thanks for your advice and encouragment once more. I was once doing pretty okay in Business & IT, I feel like a veritable virgin in my new peer group. But your words of encouragment and compass points of direction have been invaluable. I wish you the best, or Pob Hywl as we say in Wales.

Hi Neil

Thanks for the add. I appreciate what you're saying about the accumulation of power in the publishing world, but would argue that it's better to aim for a slightly more benign measure of influence.

Of course, getting that without accumulating power is a matter of subterfuge and who-you-know and fantastic writing and is equally difficult to achieve.

It's a bloody difficult game, whatever way one goes about it and almost always interferes with the real work of sitting at a desk with pen, paper, a distracted air and (in my case) far more cigarettes than are good for me, to be smoked when the ideas slow down or dry up altogether...

Good luck with the new book.

Best wishes
Adam
