TEES TO TYNE: FIRST IMPRESSIONS - SUMMER 2001 

Where traditions are not so rare; 
    Sea, country and works scent the air; 
A multitude of monuments, 
    Planted tubs and patterned pavements. 

The longish pedestrian malls; 
    The remnants of defensive walls; 
Historic buildings are a gauge 
    Of the respect for heritage. 

Wheat, rape and pines in the fields; 
    Estuaries guarded by shields; 
Long sandy beaches and wide scenes; 
    Romantic-ruin go-betweens. 

Rivers in parts licked by trees, 
    Or fringed by boat clubs, wharfs, gantries, 
And crossed by practical delights - 
    Varied spans, forming pleasing sights. 

Fine churches headed at Durham; 
    Football kits ad infinitum; 
Kept castles - one for study; 
    Masonry behind masonry. 

And, with moulding-works out that way, 
It’s somewhere for a longer stay..?

 Thank you - your music is Fantastic! I've been listening to your cd-" The Lost Music of Fernando Sor." I feel inspired to learn to play the Harpguitar. I love the range and tone of the instrument. nuestra musica es una forma de interpretacion musical!
toda musica tiene que ser hecha en el espiritu correcto (en el espiritu del Senor)
no importa cual fuera sea su genero musical.!!
el quien conoce verdaderamente al Senor, conoce tambien cuando la musica lleva el espiritu correcto.
existen canciones suaves, melodicas, incluso musica de opera inspiradas en las tinieblas con testimonio
de sus propios compositores.

Hi there!
The Danish composer Per Nørgård's music has been much on my mind the past few years. Arguably the most important now living Scandinavian composer also has a remarkable output for the guitar. I spent a couple of years working with the composer on this repertoire, spanning from 1973 to 2000, in order to embrace the emerging performance practice associated with his work.

I have just uploaded 10 new tracks, all taken from "Tales From the North", my double CD box with the complete guitar works of Danish composer Per Nørgård. Also, in my latest blog you will find recent reviews of this release.

For further reading about the composer, this is an excellent website, with articles by a series of scholars and performers that have dedicated much study to his work:
