Katie	Jan 15, 2007 7:56 PM i just finished watching season 2...oh, my goodness. there needs to be a season 3! i'm not sure what route the new storyline should take, but i cannot accept such a negative ending! i think we need at least one more addition to this wonderfully brilliant and innovative series. as for the second season on the whole, bravo!

Chris	Dec 21, 2006 12:39 AM HI everyone. I just finish watching the whole season and i found it is one of the most inspiring shows ever produced. I myself am a Muslim convert and I served in Iraq with the 3rd infantry division during the invasion. I am glad they made a show where it shows that muslims can be fully american and fully muslim. I thought the research of Islamic issues in europe, in america and the world is almost completely accurate. I myself am studying with muslim scholars so I understand many issues that are brought that normal people wont understand. Like the issue between traditional muslim which is the historical majority and the wahabis. This is shown with Farik conforntation with the school in Yemen where the Yemenis teacher started talking about the traditional islamic scholars like Imam ALghazali rather that the fanatical wahabi teachers which there extremist like. I also like how torturing Farik was compared to al Hajjaj brutal tatics who is a famous ruler who was brutal and something muslims bring up alot. His fight with the sect khawarij is just like the new fight agaisnt the wahabis. They both are extremist sect who threaten the whole muslim world at the time period they lived in. Another point from first season which shows Darwyns traditional side is when he show the afghan kid the traditional religios songs which wahabis say is an evil innovation. So many things in both season shows alot about Islam that I am very happy about more this season than last season. I like how they had more positive characters that are muslim in this season. Like the marine and the chaplin. It reminds me of chaplin Yee's book for GOd and country Faith and Patriotism underfire which I highly recommend. I also like the muslim womans group it was so neat. Probably one of my favorite things this show shows is the hypocracy of the terrorists. Gayle defenitly told Mina off so perfectly at the end. The depiction of why these people hate america and there journy is so accurate. ONe book to read is my JIhad by Aukia collins which the episode soldier, is based off of. Aukia realy shows in depth how hypcritical and so far from islam those extremist are because in his book he talks about his journey fighting with such people in many parts of the world. One more comment to make. As a muslim soldier who served in the 3rd infantry division I realy like how it shows that good muslims can serve our country not like that show "Over There" which the character Omid Abtahi played as was a very disgraceful character. His character showed that to be a arab or muslim soldier you must hate arabs and muslims. Also the depiction of Iraqis in over there was out right racisit and ignorant. I feel bad for all those wonderful Iraqis us soldiers became fond of being depicted as savages. Sleeper cell did the opposite. It didnt give in to the false groupings but put things in perspective honestly. Well sorry I spoke alot I was just soo impressed by this show and wish everyone watched it. The music on the show is great, from the middle eastern sounds to the hip-hop in the strip club, and I'd love to see a list. (And who did the cover of Left My Wallet in El Segundo?)
