Mate, Velvet Refraction is great! Deliciously oldskool; it's put a huge grin on my face like it's the early 90s all over again :D Those synth lines in the second half are superb - Hardfloor et al would be proud of you sir!

PUPILAR - Live @ The Packhorse, Leeds [4th July '08].

With intended visuals* of "Prelude to Dog Star Man" by the late, great, Stan Brakhage.

PUPILAR W/ DOG STAR MAN BY STAN BRAKHAGE from pupil on Vimeo.

*Intended visuals, as on the night the projector was broken, so here is how the combined audio and visuals would have appeared.

I thoroughly recommend watching this video in full screen and listening to it loudly on the best speakers/headphones you have. It will really benefit from this as the audio and video are both mastered/compressed to a high quality.

Oohhh, yeah! The village people! I'd love to be the biker cop, dispensing justice with my mighty daystick! Curious Dreaming is me and a couple of other fellas from Ashford laying some sounds down man-as the kids say today!

Best wishes for a tunefull new year.
We partied&raved in Belgrade.

The end of Pete Gooding's set at an 5 AM after party was really uplifting: Lil Louis Vega, French Kiss and Laurent Garnier's Man Without a Face...

Week before that Luciano rocked with some choice house tunes and an hour of techno&retro: Underworld, Daft Punk;
we were happy kids again...

I wish I had more spare time...

Hope yer well :)

Announcing the 3rd full Pupilar release!

Tracklisting:
01 Chalk White Ascending - 15:14
02 Whited Sepulchre (feat. Nacht und Nebel) - 13:25

Duration - 28:40

After several years of contemplation and exploration, here arrives the 3rd full Pupilar release. Darker, Grittier, Uglier and Prettier, this marks a real evolution from previous Pupilar creations. Chalk White Ascending's slow and brooding soundscapes contrast beautifully with the raw intensity of Whited Sepulchre (which features the sonic talents of Nacht und Nebel, aka Henry Davies of Definition of Ape/Army of Flying Robots).

This is released to the Web in free MP3 format, please click the track names above to download the files. The limited, elaborately packaged CD version will be released on the 22nd January through Loom Recordings, where this and other Pupilar CD releases will be available for purchase via the Loom Recordings/Gizeh Records Online Store.

I hope you enjoy my new sounds.

Peace

The debut album from Higher Council Of Mars! Dense guitars and tortured screams, certainly for fans of Isis, Jesu, Old Man Gloom and Neurosis. Recorded in Blackpool in July '07 and beaten into shape by Pupilar, who was responsible for all post production, mixing, mastering and contribution of all electronics, drones, samples, synths, noise and general filth.

Please click the track names above to download High Quality MP3 files of the entire album.

As always, I am truly "Keeping the Scene ALIVE!". Doing some mixes for Apocalyptica (Finnish Metal band comprised of 4 cellists, very cool) for Sony and finishing off some stuff with an Aussie Industrial band. Just come back from Wacken, having done some tech work. Thats about it for the moment. All good. Hows you?

Thanks, was about time I changed avatars (tho I think the version of it I use over at Vae Solis looks even better :) )

I haven't heard the new Deathspell Omega, didn't even know there was one out until you just gave me a heads up. It seems to be getting some good reviews (I heard one person describe it as “Si Monumentum Requires, Circumspice” meets “The Work Which Transforms God”, so I'll have to give it a spin sometime…

Damn, the woman at the rental office was prepared. Obviously they've had a few disgruntled clients call before. And I've discovered the culprit with a bike and a cardboard box!
Did he bother so much as to even move it today? No!

I just received a letter from the flat rental company.
They are saying I left a bike (which I do not have)or some trash sacks on the access gallery and/or common rooms of the building (which I didn't).
Someone is in for a very unpleasant conversation with myself tomorrow morning...
